  3. Ziggy, I have contacted you regarding movement swap and new day date wheel installation for the same watch. I found the movement on Ebay. (Chronograph Valjoux Eta 7750 genuine Swiss) Would you recommend a full service of this movement before install?
  4. Did you have the new movement fully serviced?
  5. Have I missed a contact? What is the status of this group buy? regards, vlydog
  6. Can anyone tell me where I would find a sapphire replacement crystal that does not have AR for an IWC 3717 pilot? I would also need a part number or a more detailed description for ordering.
  7. Greetings all, The first Pam I purchased was not my initial choice; it was an acquired love. The Panerai that first caught my attention was the fantastic 1950. What I love about this piece is its vintage look, simplicity of design, gold hands and simple dial. Well, a fiddy deal with Davidsen fell through when movements became scarce. I could not put out the fire at this point so my lusting turned toward other models
  8. Here is the link to the seller. http://cgi.ebay.com/Chronograph-Valjoux-Et...1QQcmdZViewItem
  9. If I amthinking about a swap, what would I expect to pay for a Swiss 7750 movement?
  10. Greetings all, Is there a Paneristi equivalent web site devoted to IWC aficionados?
  11. Hello V, I own both of these watches myself and could not agree with you more. I like it best on the Ferrari too. Even though I prefer brown straps, I am warming up to the black. Just ordered a MF black calf with black stitching for the 112. With respect, Vlydog
  12. Thank you for your response but I am not equipped for pics right now.
  13. Ok all, how much trouble am I in? I thought I was prepared. I had the proper screwdriver and a new set of tubes and screws. This was the first time I have attempted to change a strap. The watch, a never worn FER008 - the strap, a new HKTan gator - I even used a new screw and tube set. The short end of the strap mounted fine. The longer end was tough. After inserting the screw through the tube, I had trouble finding the hole that accepts the threads. When I finally felt all was good I started tightening. Well I guess I cross-threaded the screw. At first I could not back the screw out and now it just spins in both directions. To top that, I have scratched the lug unmercifully. Is this a problem that can be fixed? Is there a way to bring the SS surface back without scratches? I will not be able to do any repairs myself I just want to know if this is fixable so I can send it out. I feel sick. With respect, Vlydog
  14. Greetings all, I am definitely not a bracelet man. I love a leather strap. My question becomes are there any custom strap makers that make replacement straps for this watch? I think the GEN comes with a croc or gator strap. I have seen HK Tan's pilot straps but I'm looking for something a bit dressier. Thank you, Vlydog
  15. love the shot of the movement through the opening in the buckle!
