  1. Check this out: http://www.loudfrog.com/seller.aspx?UserID=22005 Any opinions? This guy seems to have about the same watches all the dealers here offer, for sometimes a lower price. Not clear what movements though, most likely asian. Not really into buying from him, just wanted to point the website out.
  2. some article I found: Which watch does US President George W Bush sport? Or, for that matter, which was the watch worn by his predecessor Mr Bill Clinton, or George Bush Senior? It is one from Timex, a leading watch company in America. President Bush made this revelation about his Timex watch in an interview to an Argentine reporter ahead of his upcoming presidential trip to Latin Ameria. The American President said he
  3. This is what I have so far. I'll slow down for a bit, well, at least I think. On my wishlist: -IWC Portugiese -Channel Full Ceramic -LV Sub -Classy simple Breguet And many more...
  4. Both governments denied it was stolen. I think it may very well have been ;-) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W7LuhQs8NSE Now, anybody knows what Bush wears that would be worth stealing?
  5. Who uses REO already? I know OREO, but no REO
  6. Sure, but then, ETA shouldn't be part of the business plan, next to young and whatever else. Let's just say, quality movement. Do you think it it worth stocking up on ETA mvmnts before they close the pipe?
  7. I'd say a Channel. They're about the only bling watches I like. Must be the ceramic really. And yes, I'd go for the male version for a lady too. They are mostly quartz in rep, even though in gen male is automatic, female is quartz (I believe). Check this one out (probably some limited edition, I stole the pic from their website): BLING BLING
  8. Reo ;-) That way you have a substantial amount of space on the dial to put lots of chronos and complications! You are aware that getting your hands on ETA ebauches after 2011 won't be easy. Namely, if you are not affiliated with the Swatch group, you probably won't get any, or they will shaft you on the price big time.

    PO 4th gen

Hi guys, Thought I would take a few pics of my new watch. Everybody has seen it of course, but I just wanted to play with my camery. This is natural lightning and weather is horrible, so pardon the quality. I like it a lot, very nice quality with ETA movement it runs smooth and keeps very good time. Of course the Omega sign is slightly crooked and too low, but damn, I'm not so picky as to send it back. Sorry no wrist shot, I haven't had the baby sized yet. Actually, I have heard of horror stories regarding sizing the bracelet on the Ultimate PO (professional doing it was recommended), does anybody know if the 4th gen will be easier to handle? I live in Switzerland and reps are very frowned upon, for obvious reasons. I'd prefer not to bring my rep to an AD, or the guy will kill me if he finds out it is a rep (and to be on the safe side I will assume he would find out)
  10. Ken is the true businessman, is he not.
  11. Hehehe, very funny. I must say I hate this watch. I was in Basel world though, and frankly there was another 1000 uglier watches than this one (think paris hilton collection, and this other bling brand which caters to west coast rappers and had a car alloy with diamonds all over on display). One thing is sure, no ugly watch was getting more attention than the clown-master II at the expo. Good marketing if you ask me (there's a lot of clowns with no taste that will buy in the buzz, no worries).
  12. Hmmm, agreed, that is weird. Anyway, went for 710$. I say I could have bought a nicer watch for that price, rep or gen...
  13. That often happens when a seller withdraws the sale. Typically because he realises the people bidding are not serious/are playing a prank... which seems to be the case given the bidding war.
  14. Excellente! Really handy for traveling, as it is not a hard case, but still some good protection, I like it, congrats!
  15. Hehe so much for my anonymity ;-) Don't care really. Yes, I own a wii. Not much time to play with it these days as I am preparing for an exam (as my browsing this forum makes perfectly obvious). The dealer says it has a lot of gold parts, maybe I can melt them! 4grams of gold costs 100.- at current market prices, that would be return on investment. Now the seller is a goldsmith. Think he might have made sure no such easy arbitrage was possible.
  16. Hi everyone, I just got into this whole rep thing and am already a proud owner of a VC malte retrograde, a Glash
  17. I'd go for Omega too, a real classy watch. FA jones in white, though a beautiful watch, will be too visible. As for the first one.... you said it was a select club? ;-)
  18. Would be interested in a PM with Jurgen's addres too, since I am in Europe and Ofrei is out of question
  19. All very nice watches gents. I would go for a VC, either the super simple one (pic posted by TTK), or the malte perpetual retrograde. I recently ordered one from PerfectClone, and it is gorgeous. Could anybody please give me the address to TTKs website? I have an outdated address, and I can't seem to find the address on this forum. He's got some very nice pieces, and I'd like to fetch a few.
