  1. So if one did sort out the thickness issue, then it would HAVE to either be worn all the time or kept on a winder, because the only way to advance the date is by going around 24 hours with the hands?
  2. username, my apologies, I don't have any, sorry
  3. So if I had a rep tricompax, best I could hope for is to swap in a new A7753 to fix the sunken datewheel issue, right? A Lello datewheel that fits an A7750 should also work in an A7753, right?
  4. Hey andreww, good to see ya! What are the chances of using one of these A7753's and a gen dial to make a Tricompax rep, given that I have a Breiting font datewheel for an A7750. Could I use the same datewheel, do you think?
  5. Now that we're seeing the new 7753, dare we hope for a Tricompax Navitimer with a flush datewheel? Possible?
  6. Let me look around a little, if I can find them, they are yours for free.
  7. RWGForum = Tim, "the Toolman", Taylor, but with more knowledge of how to do things right. Just as funny, though. RWI = An airport full of watch enthusiasts, many of which know what they're talking about. Some are families of tourists, others businessmen, all tolerating each other. RG = Mall of America at Christmas time, but in a group- hug, with Tons of watch knowledge. They have blocked the doors open so new shoppers are arriving by the busload hourly. RWG.net 1.1 = Howard Stern and Ricky Gervais's bastard child, who knows a lot about watches, but tends to masturbate in public MUCH too often. (After what was done for me and my family, I love and visit ALL of them as much as I can, and these are meant to be comical observations only ).
  8. Are you talking about how close the shaft lume gets to the center pin on the hour hand?
  9. Wow, makes you look at those cheap quartz watches in a whole new way, huh?
  10. Thanks, Ken, I'm working doing just that. I wanted to stop by earlier and break the news and thank you all but the board was down. Glad to see it's back up, and thanks again to all who donated, you made it easier for me to heal.
  11. I AM A CANCER SURVIVOR! Found out today that the 4mm lump in my lower left lung is gone, and was probably a pneumonia scar from last winter! I am in the hospitol again now for another heart surgery, (which I obviously survived), and feel like I am the one who won a genuine Breitling. You, ladies and gentleman, have helped give me my life back, and I thank you all from the very depths of my soul.
  12. No lie, Chrono. I just stopped by to say a sincere, heartfelt thank you to all who participated. It is a debt I will never be able to repay, unless I win the lottery, then it's, "GEN BREITS FOR EVERYBODY!" We are safe in our home, which we almost had to sell. My sons are still in school, but almost weren't. The lights are still on here, as is the heat, and you guys are responsible for that. From the bottom of my heart, I thank you. Donny
  13. Guys, I am SO sorry I didn't find this thread sooner! I have a few minutes to update all you fine folks who have volunteered either prizes or donations, but mostly to thank you. Many things happened to our family this summer, (reffered to as, "The Summer from He11"' in our house), to ruin us financially. I mean 10 straight days of plain macaroni ruined. But at least we had food, right? Coupled with my continuing fight with cancer, some relatives that needed money, and a few other things, and we were in danger of loosing the house, electricity being shut off, and recalling 2 sons from college, (even though both were working 40 hours a week along with full time classes). SFA, Stan, and Dave at RG all stepped up to keep us in our home, and you all helped. Words cannot express my gratitude, guys, and you are all gens in my eyes. Thanks!
