does anyone know if a t-crown can fit into davidsen's pvd casings?
-
well The Zigmeister.. i really want to do a project like this one as well.. however the case that i have is a davidsen case of the 5218-202/a.. i was thinking if you could fit a t-crown into these dsn cases? thanks alot..
if you can then what i need now is just a t-crown and a fgd dial :S.. which is very hard to source :@
-
ye i saw it was for sale.. but i was late.. and now i cant find another one.. actually i have a dsn.. which i think has a good case (it has shorter lugs).. i heard v-crownguard don't fit on these cases but u know what?? i think the cg on the dsn isn't that bad.. but i was wondering if t-48 can fit it..
does anyone have experience of this?? but yeah please keep an eye open for a fgd dial for me

hey guys... i'm going to do a 202a project.. i mean i've been waiting to do this project for a long time.. but i'm not sure where i should start.. from what i've seen.. i should start with the following parts:
- standard rep-case
- FGD 202 dial
- v-crownguard
- t-48 crown
however right now i'm having trouble in trying to find a fgd dial and also v-crownguard.. so if anyone has this can they pm me please...
but the bulk of this thread is trying to find out what other mods should i need to complete my 202/a project? this is pretty much all that i need right? thanks alot

since u have inside info and everything.. do you know if ap roo RBII or ap roo eod is on the making or not?
-
no joke ap eod yes yes yes.. please do a super super rep of ap eod secs @ 12..
if not this one is good too
using real ceramic bezel too and secs @ 12
-
exactly!! i dont get why rep makers never make the watches that we want.. n if they do its never accurate.. i mean come on!!
-
hey guys.. we've seen alot of secs at 12 being introduced lately.. but i think most of us agreed that we would like to see the AP ROO Rubens Barichello II (rose gold especially) being introduced with the secs @ 12 and ceramic bezel.. and i've heard here somewhere before that the dealers have purchased the gens and is trying to replicate the watch.. is this a true story or not true? because i'm still holding my breath for one of this baby!!

thats the problem. there are no competent wacthmakers in my area and the ones that do will not touch a rep
then thats the problem.. even if you buy a swiss 7750.. you'd need to get it serviced or it might give you problem.. so imo just get the a7750.. it would be a better option for u

hey guys.. has anyone got a photo of a breitling chronomat evolution or any other men's size breitling on a girl? i wanted to get my gf a breitling rep as i reckon it would be hot for a girl to wear bigger sized wtch.. but i want to see what it would look like.. so if anyone has any wristshot of a small sized girl (im not sure about my gf's wrist size but shes very slim) wearing a breitling pls post it thank you

hey peeps i was wondering.. ppl said that rep pens are very easy to tell from the gen.. im interested in buying a gen mb.. n my friend is selling me his 2nd hand for 50$.. its pretty much used
i mean i dont even know the diff between gen and rep for the sake of it..
he said hes really sure that it is a gen.. but how do i tell? heres some pics.. pls help me peeps.. the only way i can tell is through serial numbers and whether it takes gen refills or not.. it's passed these 2 tests.. what else do i need to know?
and how do i tell if its a gen or a rep?
-
thats no way a gen
dw mate.. its not ur fault.. its just that our community always thinks ourself as "expert" and picking every lil detail upto a point where even a gen pic is posted on the forum it'll get called "fake" if it has some kind of flaw..
in fact ive posted 2 gen rolexes in here asking forum members to determine whether its a fake or gen.. they all claimed its a "franken" yet my father bought both in an AD.. shows how much we know?

why is the yachtmaster so expensive?
-
LH will break alonso's record.. man alonso is such a dumb person to leave mclaren in the first place.. wat the hell!?
-
where do you get the pre-v casings from? :S
-
blah so i dont get this.. :S.. why do we need a separate account again? just say someone file a dispute.. can they take money out of the bank account? what if the bank account has 0 balance? :S what happens then? :S..
im scared of using this now.. coz i just sold 2 watches :S
either way.. most of my cash i kept on netbank anyway.. what if you leave ur original savings account on 0 balance.. would that make a diff? :S
-
what about his casings for the 203a.. is it any good you think? or it's not even close?
<-- no barlugs slope ;D

Short game ...DSN 202/A or 195 may help feed your need
Long Game ...assemble all the parts and custom build your dream..
V 1:1 CG
2 Screw Lug bars
SS Rep case with lug holes adapted for 2 screw lug bars (Ideally an old case with correct Pre-V shape)
OEM crown , or T-60 , or PALP
Proper PVD coating from one of the members who offer a service here
DSN Non-AR Sapphire
DSN case back
Dial wise , there are some decent versions of 202/A kicking about , DSN's is OK but the font and cut out indices are it's worst flaws
218/A is on my "to do list" ....along with 195 , 203/A, 205/A and 207/A funnily enough!
I'm sure a better dial option will come along one day.
Best of luck
FGD
thanks fgd for ur answer.. you said ideally an old case with correct pre-v shape.. does davidsen's current 202a have the correct shape? i was thinking starting with a dsn 202 then go on to modding the others like you said!!
btw fgd do u have a spare dial that i can buy off?
-
If you gather together all the right bits you can assemble an excellent 202A, but it won't be cheap or easy. However the satisfaction of having even one really accurate piece is a reward for the effort it takes.
well i'm up for modding it.. what base should i go for? davidsen's 202a? and after that what mods should I do to it? thanks alot man..

hey guys.. i hope u can help me with something here.. as most of u know im still on a hunt for a pam!!! after looking at more pams.. i think i've decided that my next pam will be a pvd'd panerai pam!!
i've narrowed down my choices to the following:
pam 195
pam 026
pam 202a and
pam 218a
my favourite is the pam 218a.. since i know that theres only 5 prototype in the world of the 218a and i would never be able to pull it off.. i just like the idea of owning a close copy of it.. .. so my question is how accurate is the 218a (davidsen's) and what are the flaws on this watch and are the flaws fixable?
and other than this.. of the pvd'd pams i listed which is the most accurate to the gen? and is there other more accurate pvd pams than the ones i listed? please help guys.. i really need your input.. as im really a noob in panerai models
