i think yours would look much better brian.. i asked him to thin down my markers.. where as urs i take it that he removes the whole markers? i mean yours should be closer to gen .. cant wait to see urs tho

the feel alone is very similar.. the rep bracelet is buttery smooth.. but i'll tell u a little secret.. the difference is located on the clasp!.. on the side of the rep clasp there is a hole.. where as the gen does not have this!

i get ya.. but that pics are taken in super-macro mode i think using slr camera.. i think even our reps would look as grainy as that if we use the same camera they use.. check this pic of daytona.. it looks more grainy than usual too.. but ill check again tomorrow.. the gen 3717 from what i can remember is not as grainy as that in real life but ill double check for u tomorrow

as for the brass pinnion discussion.. it is still inconclusive (check my iwc 3717 gen vs rep comparison).. in some pics i got from timezone.. there are gens that have brass coloured pinions and there are some that has silver pinions.. so i'm not sure about this (one that i saw in the AD has golden colour pinions, but it could be the fact that the AD has yellow lights or it actually is gold.. i even asked my gf to see whether it is gold or silver(check if my eyes are a bit dodgy or not).. she said it is gold colour).. but it is an actual gold (yellow) coloured pinions.. where as on the reps its more brownish colour.. as for the dial.. i didn't really pay attention to it.. but if i went pass the AD again i will check on that.. but from pics (check out my gen vs rep review again).. i think it looks very similar no? comparison of pinions and u can compare the dial colour as well with my pics above.. imo they both look very similar

i just checked with the one at the ad.. the markers aren't that much thicker.. in fact in some watch the thickness is very similar.. not really noticeable! --> and this is after the modded markers per my watch .. before the mod the markers were alot thicker

im really enjoying this watch chief.. thanks for doing the AR.. it is amazing.. lol even my gf said where is the glass lol.. n she tried to touch the dial!!.. amazing.. i think in the next run i would like to send my breitling chronomat evolution for a recoat.. as my current one has been accidently stripped off (by WD-40) ..

not sure but yes.. the AR is amazing.. chief made the AR and The Zigmeister did the lume .. beautiful!!

hi this is the rolex rolesium yachtmaster from the xmas special (apparently from the noob factory) that i bought from andrew.. after a couple of modding (CG) and also getting a new crown for it and also unsharpened the bracelet.. i managed to get it like this .. sorry for the pics but this is just a quick pic .. ohh and one more thing i noticed is that the dial is a lil bit more silvery (grey) than the usual pics that people posts here? please comment on the watch it'll make me happy

meh i dont think even such "experts" knows the diff between a gen n rep even if they think they were... e.g. i posted pics of a gen rolex daydate.. and 98% of the member in here said it was a rep.. where in reality it was a gen.. so what does this tell you? YES i dont agree with people showing off at an AD saying OOOOOO LOOK AT ME IM WEARING A ROLEX(OR WATEVER REP U GOT).. but hiding it inside ur pocket n act like ur a scared cat, because some AD people can spot ur rep from 100m away? i mean the only time ive ever gotten called out is the time i passed my noob yachtmaster for my friend to play with it.. most of the time if ur humble about ur watch and act confident with it.. even experts would be fooled.. i mean who can see spot your omega logo isn't correct from 50m away? i know i couldn't unless i have some kind of binoculars another reason i hate about going into reps and flaunting it as gen is that.. IF you do get caught (ONCE AGAIN NOT IN UR WRIST) but when they open ur watch to find that u have a 21j movement!! is that you're exposing the community to the whole world.. something that i hate.. for some reason i feel special being in this community (kinda like VIP feeling).. so please dont do it.. but please also dont act like a paranoid ppl who think our reps r [censored].. coz to be honest it isnt

well ive had worst.. ive had someone bought from me an eta submariner with stampings on the movement and everything.. paid 120 for it (the price of the eta movement itself not to add that the movement just been serviced).. he got the watch then threatened me saying that it wasnt an eta movement.. and wanted me to refund the whole thing.. :S

just wondering.. i wanted to buy a finishing pen (so that i could refinish my steel bracelet's satin finish).. however i couldnt find any thread that is talking about these finishing pen.. does anyone know where i can get them? thanks for all the help

no kidding here.. but even the rehaut depth unless u have it side by side.. its very hard to tell (especially in real life where u stare at it from a distance).. but the bezel is thicker on the gen correct?
