hi i've seen alot of members blasting their reps so that it looks like titanium.. and the more i see them.. the more i like it.. however i'm not really familiar with these 'blasting' system thing.. nor do i have any access to it.. so i would like to ask someone's help if they have access to it.. ajoesmith have done aluminium oxide blasting to his rep and i like it very much.. and a coincidence that ajoesmith lives in australia.. so if you can help me on this ajoesmith.. i would appreciate it very much well i have a rolex daytona which was already a fantasy watch anyway.. it is a rolex 116520 but for some reason the dial is meteorite.. it annoys me but since it's already a fantasy watch.. why not fantasize it even more.. so i was thinking.. i would like to make lind of a hybrid mod thing.. with the brushed part of the rep being blasted.. while leaving the polished part as it is.. to show you what i meant.. below is the pic.. (grey area is where i would like it to get blasted to look like titanium.. while leaving the rest as it is.. i don't know if this is possible.. but maybe it is possibe by covering the polished part with a sticky tape or something.. and is anyone up for the job? or anyone that have access to a blaster? please if you can help me.. it would be appreciated.. if anyone can help me make this fantasy watch come true please pm me

hey all.. i'm just trying to show off my new pam048 (well i think it is anyway.. or it could even be a pam120 with leather strap)!! it is my first panerai ever.. but i love it.. it has the new a7750 movement, sapphire crystal with AR.. i was not a panerai person until my gf bought me this watch for christmas.. and boy now i think i am hooked on panerais too anyway enjoy the pics.. hopefully it is good enough for ya heheheh anyway.. please comment on this watch .. ohh and if you can comment which pam model this is it would be great!!!

this one isn't gold plated.. there is the gold plated version of the same watch worth around $150 (but the gold wears off after 2 years).. but then i told my friend that i wasn't interested because gold plated watch wears out.. then he called me after a couple of days and tell me that he can get a non-fading twotone version.. and the gold will last forever.. so i decided to pull the trigger .. and inside is a swiss eta 2836-2.. is there a place where i can get swiss eta movement watch for $135-150? because that would be great

yeah it does rotate.. just the fact that the rehaut is conical upsets me .. or else it would be a good rep.. but all in all it is very impressive.. and yes.. gold hasn't worn off yet.. i've done everything to it.. including swim on the beach.. saltwater.. still no sign of changing colour.. but i've changed the dial to a normal salmon datejust dial.. personally i like the salmon dial better.. here are some pics

hey .. i got this from a friend.. he now lives in guangzhou and i asked him whether he can source me any two-tone coloured rolex reps.. i've asked around dealers around here.. if they have any two-tone reps that don't change colour at all (especially the gold) and they've all told me that NO! they're all gold plated/wrapped and will change within 2 yrs or so.. so i contacted my friend.. and he finally called me and tells me that there is someone that can sell this one for me (custom made).. and he told me that the gold will never change colour.. at first i didn't believe it.. but then i thought what the heck i'll give it a try.. so when i received it.. the first thing i did was test the gold by using a hard abrasive metal polisher to see whether the gold will change or not (i tried it with the two-tone jubilee that i got from king, and the gold on that one changed to silver in no time) however this one doesn't.. so i was really surprised.. but yeah.. i know there are lots of flaws in this watches as stated above.. however i'm not sure about the secs hand being too long and white dial :S.. because i've seen 116261 version with the white dial and rose gold in the AD.. but yeah the rehaut is a bit wokky.. anyway.. i'm sorry i can only get 1 of this.. and to tell you the truth other than the good quality gold.. this watch couldn't be considered as a super rep because of the flaws .. and i paid $280 for it (the gold plated version that changes colour is $150).. so yeah i don't know if you really think this is worth it :S.. but if you still do... i can contact my friend and see if he can get another one or not.. but i can't promise you..

what's with people complaining about misaligned bezel? so weird!!! i've seen alot misaligned stuff in gens too.. infact my friend's father has a rolex daytona.. and he had the bezel misaligned.. and he bought it for $15000+.. does this mean it's a fake? just because a rep has a misaligned bezel doesn't meant that suddenly its a "tell".. misaligned datewheel is everywhere.. my dad's gold presidential rolex has a misaligned datewheel... NO ONE!! not even an AD or rolex service centre itself ever say "I'M SORRY IT HAS A MISALIGNED DAYWHEEL THEREFORE IT'S A FAKE!!!".. so sorry but i have to agree with pugs on this.. because the reason "the misaligned pearl is the biggest tell!!!" is just not good enough for me.. and we're not talking about the price of the gens are we pug?? when we're picking rep of the year? we're talking about accuracy and build NO?

hey.. just got this yesterday!! and this watch is unbelievable!! i don't know much about the flaws as i haven't seen the gen yet.. to test the gold, when i got home i used a hard metal polisher (usually strips off goldplated metals, i've tried it so many times before) but this one didn't change colour at all!! unbelievable.. but anyway here we go an eyecandy!! and it has an eta movement too inside!! so anyway, any comments are welcome, especially regarding tellable flaws, etc.

hi i've read many threads about the modern daytonas having problems and all!!! however after consulting with different dealers here.. they've told me that as long as i don't play around with the chrono movement too much or even better never used the chronos at all.. treating it like a playstation game.. the daytonas secs at 6 should be ok and not break down.. however thats only 3 ppls opinion that's told me that.. so i would like to ask the daytona owners.. for those of you that has a broken daytona.. did you ever use the chronos? and for those of you that has a daytona thats been running flawlessly for years.. did you ever use the chronos? because i'm really interested in buying one! so any suggestions would be perfect.. ohh and one more thing!!! for you people that has the 116509 (either black, white or meteorite dial).. what are the weight of your watch? thanks

oh euno would you be able to take a pic without the white reflector thingy? we want to see how good the AR is .. because even in the dealer's updated pic.. the AR doesn't look that great

hi.. i just want to warn you guys if you're thinking of polishing your reps with polishing compound like brasso or anything on your reps that has double ar.. pls don't do it on the crystals or get any on it.. i was polishing my sfso with a metal polisher.. and by the time i washed it.. i realised that the outside coat of the AR on my steelfish is gone.. so now my sfso is only one sided AR'd.. so yeah just pls dont get any polishing compound on your crystal
