it really is not worth it.. by the time i send it back i have to pay $50.. and basing on experience (all my 6 watches that i ordered from andrew has always similar problem.. whether its missing pearl, bezel insert fell off, not waterproof).. so im not taking that gamble!

i dont know if its a bad watch or anything.. but all i know is not even 3 hrs of wearing it.. not only it leaks water but the bezel insert is gone while iw as wearing it.. i dunno where it went :S.. if anyone have a spare bezel insert for the noobmariner.. pls pm me

actually mine does have the ball bearings :S.. it looks exactly like my yachtmaster ETA.. but the difference is in the stamping..

i did a water bubble test with hot water and glass.. and the bubble came from the crystal so im suspecting you guys are right.. it is from the crystal.. is there a way for me to seal this? thanks

hi i just received my beginmariner today.. and straight away i took it to the shower.. and the crystal inside fogs up.. so the first thing i did was remove the caseback to check the o-ring first thing i found out is that the o-ring was ripped in half.. so i replaced it with the one on my yachtmaster.. and also replace the crown with the one on my "perfect" yachtmaster... but for some reason the watch still leaks.. and i need this watch to be waterproof.. my question is.. is there any other way that water could go in from other than caseback and crown?.. (btw i don't have the equipment to close the caseback properly so i use the "ball of masking tape method")..

nope thats not what mine looked like.. mine looks more like the one on josh's site.. with the gold movement colour..

when i turn the clock anti clockwise.. the gears inside moves.. ok i dont mean it as in technically winding the watch.. but with the asia eta 2813 in the upo lite it doesn't do this.. and from what i've known only eta movements do this.. that's y i made thsi thread.. another thing is that the rotor is very quiet like, in the upo lite and other asia 7750 movements.. the rotor is very noisy.. another thing that i also feel is that when winding it feels very solid (like theres a resistant).. and in the upo lite it feels no resistant at all.. winding it is very smooth as well.. and it does have the quick set date.. EDIT: actually i managed to open the caseback.. it looks like an eta movement but no stamping on it.. so my guess is like wat by-tor said.. maybe its one of those new "asian ets 2813" however its a different movement to that of the upo lite.. which seems to be a copy of the miyota movement..

yeh i'll post a pic.. i couldn't manage to open the back because i don't have the tool.. usually i use the ball of masking tape method.. but this one is sealed tight.. winding it feels alot more like my yachtmaster "perfect" (feels more solid, like theres a force when ur winding it) then the upo lite (which has the new asia "eta" with 28800bph) and the upo lite doesnt wind both ways and the date doesnt flick when it changes at 12.. font is very similar once again to my yachtmaster "perfect".. but yeh heres the pic sorry for the quality.. but im in a rush lol

i just recieved a beginmariner from trustytime today.. but when winding it i notice that it winds both ways (so i thought omg did he just sent me a sub with eta movement in it? then i used another method looking at how the date changes when it goes to 12.. and yes again it shows eta signs.. usually ASIA "ETA" 2813 starts changing dates when it is at around 11:40 or so.. but on my beginmariner it flicks right at 12.. one other thing is the rotor.. usually asian 21j movement has a very noisy rotor.. mine is very quiet... my question is is there such thing as an eta beginmariner? and is your beginmariner like this? because if i did really get an eta beginmariner that would be really good!

back when i was a kid (9yrs old or so) my dad used to have (i think it was gold plated) omega.. i dont know what model it is.. but the face is square and its gold colour.. back then i didnt kno much about watches.. so all i know is that it was an omega.. my dad always tells me that its a gen.. but i don't know whether it is or not.. i wished i hadn't lost it now.. because i wanted to see it (now that i have much more knowledge about watches).. but there are some things that he said contradicts the watch.. he said that it is gen and gold plated.. but is there any vintage gold plated omegas? from wat ive seen all gold omega watches are solid gold.. but i'll let the expert decide.. from wat i can remember.. it looks something like a vintage de ville tho square face and gold plated bracelet :S

really? is there any modification to fit the dial in? because i've heard people say putting a noob dial on their MBW watch? :S.. i don't know

hey man just a question.. my rolex yachtmaster is broken (bezel fell off and also the hourmarkers fell off too).. i would like to take the movement apart and put it into my noobmariner.. i managed to find out how to remove the crown and the stem.. but i'm still having trouble on how to unscrew the movement holder.. the smallest screwdriver i got was 1.0m/m and it wasn't small enough to open it.. does anyone know how i can uncscrew the movement holder? thanks

ok chief! well it's only been 11 days since i sent it.. so yay! should arrive next week .. yeh i sent via registered airmail! but they didn't give me tracking anyway.. but i'm not worried.. lol i got other things to get worried about.. once the watch is with The Zigmeister! everything will be fine.. because he'll make your watch better!

lol because i sent it via airmail.. lol trust me.. when i sent it i thought there was a $50 dollar difference between ems and airmail... i thought airmail shouldn't be that bad (website says airmail is ems without tracking).. lol but as soon as i got outside of the post office i thought [censored] wat if the package doesnt arrive.. but it was too late then ... hopefully The Zigmeister can contact me when it arrives so i don't become very tense LOL.. i hope it already arrived at The Zigmeisters.. if not then i'll die
