Oh right, I didn't know that.
But I still prefer the Air King to the Explorer I and the Sub to the Explorer I
-
Not really keen on the Explorer I, it's too much of a hybrid, with the merc hands and sub style markers.
ttgmt - I'd really like to see pictures when you get it.

I have dealt with Joshua already, it's not his service I'm asking about

I've decided I really like the styling of the Air King, it's subtle and classy, but finding good pictures of the genuine article isn't that easy.
For those who know this watch, how good is Joshua's? It has the ETA 2836-2 movement so that should be decent, but are there any glaring errors on the watch itself.
From what I can gather through extensive use of the search facility, the Air King is pretty easy to replicate and the Silix one is good, but I'd rather have a 2836 movement than the asian one. I can't find any comments about Josh's model though.
Thanks.

I had the watch seized from me and was ordered to pay a $2,000 fine, and I have nothing to show for it.
They offered to release the watch back to me if I paid an additional $10,000.
So what happens if you're wearing a brand new watch that you bought a few days before and is completely legit?

Look out for a little suprise tomorrow!! You shall go to the ball!!
We'll see, but I'm leaving at around 08:00 so unless the early bird is out, I won't be catching the worm!

Sorry chaps - feeling a little unloved today!
*hugs*
Better?

Nice watch, would you please telling me diameter without crown?
Thanks

I bought this Seiko Diver from eBay.
It's great, looks good and keeps good time. I think from the serial number lookup site I found that it's about 16 years old.
This was the seller and I think I paid about $50 plus the shipping. Very pleased.

It's off and all cleaned up nicely so just got to get some glue to fix it with. I imagine it's going to be quite tricky just putting tiny drops of glue all around and ensuring that none spills out the outer ring and none touches the crystal.
No idea what gorilla glue is but I imagine something like araldite would do the job?

Perfect, thanks. I'll attack the hair dryer when Mrs. kasigi wakes up. She'll be stunned when she hears it going. I've had a number three cut for years

OK, but how do I get the thing out?
Someone throw me a bone here, I've never done this sort of thing before.

It annoys me that there's nowhere to add comments when reporting fakes

The numbers on the insert look like they've been drawn on in crayon!

I don't have any friends

Necroposting threads which are months old sucks.

There were some questions about whether the latest EL 127 had AR coating. Having now worn this watch for a few days I'm pretty sure it does. There's a definate bluish purple tint to the crystal.

I preferred it where it was, the three I go in most are GD, Rep Vs. Gen and Watch Repair & Upgrade. Before it was easy to see from the front page what the latest posts were and now I have to go into a sub forum.
I don't think that RvG should be in there, never really considered it part of the photo gallery.

Very much so. I work in the head office of the UK branch of the second biggest food manufacturer in the world. I guess you'd expect some decent watches being worn by the higher-up people.
Nope.
I've not seen anyone else with a mechanical watch on their wrists. Nothing that I'd think of as a good, decent watch at all. Strange.
How Good Is Joshua's Air King?

Hmm, I've been trying to find which exact model that is which I posted but I'm having problems finding the one with the silver/white dial and number markers rather than stick markers for the 3, 6 and 9 with the plain bezel.
Anyone know the exact model number this is a replica of?
