  1. Btw, my english isn't so good, by "mounts" I mean "the movement they have inside

    Even I got that ;)

Besides the taller canon pinion It''s bases on availability. As he 2824 and 2836 are almost the exact same apart from the aded day function on the 2836 they use what ever they can get their hands on. When it comes to quality both movements are the same.

  2. It ran fine when it was together but as soon as I took it apart it was like a booby trap. One of the jewels was split in half.

Those 3135 copies are a PITA. Poor finish and terrible fitting parts. It's a real adventure taking them apart and an even bigger challenge getting them to perform well. Like I mentioned in my review a while back there really is no reason to buy one other than the crown position and gen-like time setting direction. One is better of with a 28xx clone.

  3. I agree with all of the above. Magnetised and/ or an impact on the balance could have misshaped the dog leg or caused a stud to move. If the watch ran ok on the QC pics it should not be a big issue. Shoot MD2020 a PM. I think he lives in your part of the woods. But I think he currently is taking a pause due to a small accident he had.

.....Or find a local repair guy. Much cheaper and safer than sending it back to China.

    Any how good luck!

  4. Sounds like that watch is ready to become spare parts instead of fixed.

The movement is dead so you need to replace it +- $300 for an ETA if you can find one. Ad labor costs. After market AR is almost impossible to source now a days. Fixing a super glued bezel is a hell of a job and getting that to turn properly again is almost a mission impossible. You first need to get the bezel of. Clean all the super glue and tighten all the bezel retaining screws underneath. My guesstimation is that you would come close to $500....the watch simply isn't worth it in my opinion.

  5. I have found another way to reset the keyless works in a 7750 without dial/hand removal. This just occured to me as I was re-reading this thread to refresh my memory since I messed up another one last night...

Make sure movement is in winding mode. Insert stem and place movement into winding mode, then remove the stem... movement will not run, and other functions will not work, this is OK

Place movement back into the case (as a holder). Now remove the balance bridge and wheel: remove one screw and carefully remove bridge with tweezers, lifting out the wheel on the spring.

Now use a small pin to gently press the stop lever (#6 in pic balow) all the way back in. Then stick a pin into the stem hole and wiggle it out gently to be sure the castle wheel & gears are free.

Very carefully re-install the balance wheel/bridge and the watch will now run.

Now re-install the crown/stem as per usual, and if all goes well, you've fixed it... without touching the dial side :D

WOW.. You are a true master to figure that out. It is an old watchmakers trick I learned from Z!ggy! Well done. It safes the hassle of removing all the dial side stuff.

@Red: how the hell did you manage to mess op the keyless on a 7750. That is a rare issue on a 7750 movement.

  6. Thanks for sharing your method but this sort of stuff always make me wonder how you feel afterwards? You get a matte bezel but a scratch in return. For me personally that would ruin the entire watch...

I often see members trying to correct a mistake and fock something up in the proces. Why can't we just accept certain flaws? We are dealing with a reps after all. The mind of a RWG geek works in mysterious ways 8)
