The problem is always parts. No parts = a doa movement sooner or later.
Yuki etc 3135 clone parts are n/a. Very few genuine parts will work other than date wheels/dials.
Yuki takes a lot of gen parts.
Besides... movements with no spare parts become spare parts

I recently had a Big Date on the work bench and the gear ratio is very tricky. The date should run from 01 to 31 and start again from 01.
Someone probably already worked on your watch and didn't know what he was doing or it happened in China.... To adjust it you need to strip it down and adjust the interconnection of the gears and date wheels.

Just really curious what this member is able to make....

Looking good but the cut outs are missing the point...
You want your upper body comming closer to the bench while you arms have a resting point. Therefore al the watch makers benches I have seen have an opposite cut out: inward curve.
An example:

I have a 4 meter solid oak bench with 2 work spots. It does not wrap if the room temperature and air moisture are stable.

Cool.... Can't wait to see the result!

Anyone know if the case back design affects water resistance? I didn't see any type of rubber O-ring around the bullet area.
Probably a nylon pressure ring they also use on the front crystal (all crystals for that matter).

Where is the OP?

I do like it! But I'm hoping for the regular ceramic SMP....
Thanks for posting the pics C!

Got the genuine but every year I broke/lose my glasses minimally once a year during the festival season..
You are missing the point. Glad Nanuq explained it. It has nothing to do with fake-rep but with healthy-unhealthy.

Worst thing you can ever buy.... Rep sun glasses. You are jeopardising your health mate. And for what? 70 euros?
Do a search!

Curious about the dial accuracy. Will be following this thread!

The hand is not glued. It is the tube that is pressure fitted into the hand that is glued. The tube than needs to be pinched.... Oh man no one will ever understand what I just wrote

Even if they are new, they are not assembled in a good environment. Improper oiling, and contamination by hair and dirt is the real problem; not "oldness"
Correct.

I used a caseback opener to rotate the outer ring so that one by one the screws lined up with the stem hole where i could remove them without the threads stopping them.
Then after a bit of fiddling i got the outer ring out then the movement was in my hand.
Thanks for your excellent advise and and responses everyone, That had me stumped.
Job well done!

Either a front loader or a gen like construction. The latter meaning that the screws need to be screwed in (not out) and than the movement ring needs to be turned until the screws fall into a gap making it possible to remove the movement.

Just turn the crown anti clockwise until the date flips. Then you know it is 12 o'clock. Position hour and minute hand right in line with each other exactly at 12 (date switch point).

Looking good. Can't wait to see the end result.

A2836s is are new movements. The Swiss ETAs that come in our reps are mostly NOS or old salvished movements. Both need service in principle.... Buy a Swiss sealed ETA movement so you know it is fresh or buy an Asian clone and have it serviced would be my advice.
Best way to ship from Germany to USA
