  1. Brees in the purple pic is at a Louisiana State University tailgate party.

Their colors are purple and gold.

Here in the south pretty much everyone wears team colors to SEC games, not just the students or one section of diehards/ultras.

  2. i'm a nightclub DJ and music producer. it's been my fulltime job for a year and a half now.

after two undergrad degrees and a year of law school...i'm broke as f--k, but very happy.

now excuse me i have to go to this club now, drink some free drinks, talk to some girls, play some tunes, and 'work.' :thumbsupsmileyanim:

cool to see what everyone does.

  3. @lan

that solves it then because i had seen some gens (or watches said to be gens :o) with the fat #s but more gens with the skinnies.

yah i love those cigars mentioned, the h.upmann mag 46, rass, psd4, sig III are my go-to's.

partagas lonsdales and shorts are great, boli pcs are good, ERDM choix are soooo good during the day...

get at a lancero or a trini if you have a local shop nearby where you can buy habano singles.

  4. is the rep made out of titanium with a sapphire crystal?

the only reason these phones are kind of cool IMO is their durability.

otherwise they look like the old nokias that you can buy for $30.

(in other words if im giving up my iphone or palm treo i want it to be indestructible)

  5. i made $5800 last year (in total) according to my W2-the US tax form. (i did a little better than that, i'm a club DJ on the weekends and make money in cash)

    I've got a 111, a 183, and a JLC Master Date.

    HUH?

    B)

I drive a late-nineties black Mustang when I have to drive.

Usually i take the train or ride one of my real whips-my vintage and fixie road bikes.

However, I'd like to think I look pretty damned good, dress nicely, and can 'pull off' reps pretty damned well.

However, if someone realllllly pushes, i'm honest about it.

I've received tons of compliments on my watches, had tons of ppl (including bosses etc at the day job) drooling.

A couple asshats that got the ambiguous answers they deserved.

A couple guys that were genuinely curious and got the truth, also because they deserved it.

[censored], even my broke ass (political science and philosophy undergrad degrees!) has been in a position or two where I could have purchased a real Rollie or whatever. I chose to put that money in financial products and to see places like Paris and Rome in the flesh.

    Do as you like.

  6. The gentleman who responded before me is absolutely correct. The 50 Fathoms is a professionally-done franken rep.

It is made according to some sources in Vietnam and not China, which is why our dealers here do not carry them.

There is a stockpile of NOS Blancpain movements used by this maker.

The cases and casebacks (and sometimes the crowns/stems) are new.

It would be cool if the CN rep factories turned their sights to these tool watches a bit more.

I love the IWCs, Jaegers, and other older mil-spec style watches.

Surely they could make some of these in China and we could then vintage-ise them :)

  7. Just dug into this guy to fix the dial----it's worked for three years with no issues.

A month or two ago the dial started to 'slide' around in the case---

turns out it isn't attached to anything and only held in place by the movement spacers and the tite fit.

Finally had the balls to pull out my small screwdriver set (i worked as a low-voltage electrician for a bit)

and dig into her. Was impressed with the durability and feel of the ETA movement.

Somehow didn't destroy it and was able to unscrew the back, take out the crown, pull out the movement, reset the dial etc

    without visibly wrecking anything.

Now I want to adjust/regulate my Panerai Black Seal 183, which came out of the box running slow.
