I dunno... I'd give a lot to have Tenzing Norgay's Explorer.
Tenzing Norgay, which one is his explorer??
-
The question is, WHICH vintage explorer?? Just look at Tanfo's collection... I'll take anything
from the bottom row, thankyouverymuch!
I mean the 1655, in the middle
Talking about vintage 1655's, check this baby out http://cgi.ebay.com/Rolex-Explorer-Vintage...tem280056717075

Just add a Vintage explorer and the collection is complete...

aaahhhh.....

Thats so it can be engraved 727.....
-

-
BTW, i would love to know who his supplier is
-
@Avitt, lol!! Obviously he does something to them!! You are right 1450USD is pretty hefty for a case that possibly is not much more closer to a gen than a DW...
-
Yep, thats the same case. I like the overall look of this case, i like the fact that it accepts gen pushers.
What i dont like is the caseback (it looks a bit too high), also im not sure about the bezel.
But most importantly the bulge, im not sure... What do you think about the bulge on this one?
-
Now im not sure which case is closer to gen...
-
I noticed this a few days ago, it has been bugging me ever since,,,,
So i contacted JDKM and asked him for some photos of the 6263 cases that he sells. The 6263 cases he sells look very good, but i am not sure about the bulge...
-
@Avitt, you are completely right. I don't know, but in my eyes, the Rolex oyster case bulge looks different to the bulge on the DW case. The dw case bulge seems to be "flatter" and longer, furthermore it looks to me that the genuine oyster case does not have the sunk in part where the crown sits (sorry about the bad description). Compare this picture to the DW case. Also there is a difference where the pushers are...

Have you not bought a Dremel yet?
@ maybe i really have to....
-
@Nanuq, hold on... this is a VJ72 case from DW, is it a version 1 or 2?
-
great info, thanks
-
i am not comparing the crown, i am comparing the VJ72 case with a genuine case, looking at the space right beneath the crown...
-
-
Yup. Have you seen that he has one listed on eBay?
Yes, thats the one i mean... what do you think? Comparing the DW case with pics of genuine 6263 i have noticed that the part under the crown differs...
-
Yes... what do you think?
