  1. I went back and look again, yes U/H's indeed too close, but what's wrong with crown? Size wise or sticker too far out?

The crown is too far out...

Also, i am not entirely sure if the crown is genuine. Looking at the cogs, which on a genuine crown are quite sharp, look more rounded on this one... as said not really sure....

  2. I don't think that Jensen's (jdm_k20) cases are the same as those sold by lek831...They seem much better quality to me. His are the only only ones that feature OEM quality pushers. I do agree with your criticism of the bezels, however.

I'll make a prediction: You will soon see a greater supply of quality VJ72 cases, with original style engraving.

Sorry, i meant case number 1, the DW case....

  3. 330045222110 is a replica case, it looks very nice, but the final prices on this sellers auctions end very high, i would guess that this auction will close at aroun 2000USD

This is the same case as number 1, but it has been engraved and the caseback is swapped for a engraved version. The seller has given the case a vintage look, the pushers, tube and crown have been changed.

I really like the engravings on the 330045222110 case, but i am not overly enthuiastic about the crown and the bezel ("UNITS PER HOUR" comes too close to 200)

  4. Interesting stuff. Regarding gevril, it is actually an automatic ETA 2824, I think, coupled with dubois depraz unit on top of it. It possibly has the same subdial spacing (if he used a real dial???) and uses asymmetric pushers (they look that way on his photo). Quite an interesting idea how to build a 6263. The only thing I remember would spoil it is 20mm lug spacing. May be something else too?

The case is not the same as a Rolex 6263

  5. Do not look like fraud to me.

There is a whole lot of volume sellers on EBay that do not accept Paypal due to the high fees - particularly for lower priced items.

I sold a watch recently at $120. Paypal fee $5. If my situation was running a low margin business I probably would try to avoid this fee. Or - as some do - put a bit extra to the price to cover for fees.

Anyway, as far as I read the Ebay rules you will be covered for up to $200 by Ebay in case of bogus. Check out http://pages.ebay.com/help/pay/payment.html#3

If fraud your risk seems to be around $250. Lots of money, but also lots less than $450.

True true..... I am waiting for the seller to respond to my mail about payment methods... If he agrees then i will pay with escrow or postal money order, if not then i will just send the money via WU and hope for the best..... :bangin:

  6. I live in sunny southern CA :sun: I don't have any relationship with this seller...Haven't ever knowingly sold him anything. (As I sometime also buy and sell vintage Daytona parts on eBay, he could actually be considered a competitor).

I just admire the guy's initiative. (Don't tell me you're not looking at that auction and saying "Man, I could do that, and pay for my entire replica collection in 2 weeks!")

Man im jealous, i live in rainy london :cold:

  7. The Valjoux movement in this watch is a real beauty, i bought one few weeks ago, and the price is unbeatable as the guy does not seem to know much about the watch. I really want the watch and i want to pay for it, but not sure how... I have never used escrow could you guys explain how it works, and how much the fees are? Thanks.

I emailed hime a couple hours ago and asked him why he does not accept paypal, i offered to pay the 4% paypal fees on top of the ending price.

I also asked which payment method the seller recoomends, i have not got a reply yet, but lets see hopefully the seller will reply soon.
