One question guys, does the mystery movement dial fit the V72 movement. I guess the mountings are the same but a confirmation from one of you experts would be good.

what dials are you goint to use?

At the moment i am just collecting parts, i have a few cases, crystals, tubes, crowns, bracelets, one balance, two valjoux 726 movements. No dials yet, i am waiting to find two good ones, one black, and one exotic black.

My plan is to make three watches.

1 6263 black dial

1 6265 black exotic dial

1 6263 silver dial

What mods do you need to do to mount the microstella?

or 722 ...eheheehehhe ....afther you need some other works..... finishing the plate.... some other engravings ... the bridge ....Breguet Overcoil & MicroStella Balance original from rolex.... four wheels....for time train... three wheels of right colour ...and some other little things....

Bridge and Train wheel bridge can be found on ebay..... around 800USD together

The small wheels can also be found one bay, i have seen these several times and they usually sell for reasonable prices 10-50 USD

And.....

You could even engrave it 727......

If you like the SE 800 you should check out the Nokia N72, 3.2 MegaPixel Carl Zeiss Lens...Very cool!!

@Avitt, i would never give up on putting together a perfect 6263, thats the whole fun of it. I guess when im done with my 6263 ill just have to start on a new one, but with a different dial....

That PN dial does not look good to me. I've never seen a gen with silver subdials like that.

You are right about the dial, it is quite bad, but rest of the watch is really good. A new black dial and it is close to perfection...

Real shame that the auction ended early as it was interesting to see where the bidding would have ended.

Anyways.... there is a new 6263 Franken on the bay, this one has a exotic black dial and in my opinion is much better looking than the previous one...

Keep your eyes on the 'bay. Gens show up every once in a while. They're expensive though...the last ones went for about $1800, and they showed some signs of wear.

val 72 series with gmt is valjoux 729 ... wittnauer has done a lot of these...

to do my 6263 clone i have used a simply valjoux 726 taken from a roamer stingray .... not a so beatifull watch

i like very much '70 watch and i know them quite well ... mechanical , led , tuning fork , quartz ...

val 72 as many other important caliber comes from '70

the photo of my avatar is my movado datron ... same calibre of el primero ....chrono auto with 36000 beat

i have many omega (one of my preferred is a 1976 chrono seamaster with a 1040 cal.) ...many zenith... and others...

but a genuine 6263 cost too many for me...so roamer was killed...

I have a question for you about the Valjoux 726 from the Roamer watch, is the colour of the movement stainless steel or is it one of those pink ones? Could you add a pic of the movement pls?

Alright, the bid has been bumped up again and stands now at 5100USD and the reserve has still not been reached. My guess is that the reserve is 6000USD.
