I have the same strap on order. I'm trying to be patient. It isn't easy...

My boss has a gen Royal Oak. He had it serviced, went on holiday, went swimming ... and it turned out tobe as waterproof as a tea-bag. So he sent it back to AP. they serviced it, he went swimming... and guess what? Yeah... it filled up. If you get this level of water resistance from a gen, what chance do our reps have? Its a lottery.

Its an automatic - no need to wind it. Just give it a gentle shake to get it started - then wear it. I have a couple of autos that have power reserve indicators. I find that wearing them for an hour is enough to get them fully wound. If you must wind, then turn the crown gently, slowly, clockwise. The chrono probably won't work properly until the watch is fully wound. The lower button should return the chrono to zero.

So try Joshua's Radiomir California... Fat: Big: That is 47mm.... although the Radiomir case makes it look smaller... And beautiful: Early Panerai were 47mm watches... 44mm versions were introduced later in order to appeal to the wimp market

I don't think that a good Monaco rep has been made. Yet. But who knows what next year may bring...? There is certainly no shortage of interest. In the meantime, buy your brother a Panerai for Christmas.

My Asian Jones has sapphire crystals. @jd6753 - "Synthetic sapphire" is not the same as "mineral glass", as you would seen to be indicating. But you are right about mineral glass being "coke-bottle green" when viewed from the edge. @Mikellem - Joshua advertises both Swiss and Asain models as having sapphire front and back.

Won't be easy? It will be bloody impossible! The original has three mainsprings!

@Kasi.. the prototype that I saw had the strap retained by allen screws, just like the original. But all any of us have seen have seen so far is a prototype. Maybe next week we will see the finished replica. I hope so. For a brief moment last month, I had the prototype on my wrist... The wait is killing me.

I think that critism of the dummy bolts on the caseback of the new B&R rep is just a little OTT. On the original, these bolts retain the removable lugs. Removable so that the watch can be mounted in a desk-stand! But what would happen if the lugs were removable? The watch would be a lot more expensive, for very small, if any, added benefit - and the dealers would be inundated with requests for replacement screws... just as they are on Radiomir reps. You know that we wIs (with emphasis on the "I") can't leave well alone... :-) And I think that complaining about Jos's PVD finish might wait until we have actually seen an example. Seems only fair. As for "Leather on a tool watch?"... B&R offer rubber, canvas and... leather. Look here: http://www.bellross.com/# I know that one of the reasons for the delay in launching this watch is that Jos was not satisfied with the quality of leather strap that he was originally offered from his supplier. I was fortunate enough to see a prototype of this watch (in ss) whilst in China last month, so perhaps I am a little biased. But I can attest to the huge effort that Jos has put into this project. Mine is on order.

My Jones keeps perfect time... but seems to need an unusual amount of adjustment: All watches differ, of course - but I have never know a watch need such extreme travel of the regulator arm. Mr Pugwash is right, of course. Advance the lever one half-notch, leave it for 24 hours and note the improvement to timekeeping. Repeat as necessary. With such a long lever, the "Jones arrow", adjusting this watch should be a breeze.

My "blue hands" Jones measures 43.2mm diameter. As far as I can judge. My guess - and it, of course, only a guess - is that all the Jones come from the same factory.

I want a Radiomir GMT. Please?...

Rose gold Pam 147 from Joshua, on custom-made Banda dark brown genuine Alligator: It is difficult to show the true colour of rose gold in a photo... but the last pic is probably the closest.

As long as the cost is reasonable, I'll be in for a set for the 063, plus a couple of solo GMT hands.

I had exactly the same problem on my Omega SMP. The fix was easy... dismantle the clasp, then gently ream out the offending hole with a round file. Takes a few minutes only. You need a bracelet pin-pusher.. my cheapo version from Narikaa did the job without drama. Just remove one pin and the clasp can be dismantled. It was an easier job than I anticipated... and I have five thumbs on each hand. Sorry about the poor quality of this photo:

Nah - get the Omega. Show some class. Every used-car salesman has a sub. Your workmates will admire your Omega... but will they really believe that you can afford a Rolex?

Great watch... love it! But my California (from Jos) is 47mm... is yours smaller? The great thing about the Radiomir case is that it doesn't look huge... it doesn't dominate the wrist (and the rest of the room ) - not the way the 47mm 187 does. Subtle, despite its size.
