  1. I always knew sooner or later you or one of your few friends would show up here bobbee, Oh and WatchTalkWorld was never my site so as usual you are confused as ever.......
  2. The first all stainless steel Accuton Astronaut, 1962 Bulova Accutron Astronaut "X-15" ! This rare Astronaut is all factory original with the exception of the crystal and the hand set which was replace with a factory original hand set P/N WS-25 which is the correct hand set for this model, The reason i call this watch the "X-15" is because of one of the ways it use advertised by Bulova in 1962 but more on that later, Let's take a look at the 1962 Astronaut.... More than a few people that are unfamiliar with this very rare model have tried to say that this watch "has the wrong hands" but that simply is incorrect as can be shown by the many Bulova adverts for 1962 which includes this Bulova factory sales card that was only given to authorized Bulova dealers.... And as this 1962 factory hand set list clearly show the white spade hand set on the list of the only hand sets for the Accutron 214 that were available in 1962 and frankly if the hand set isn't on this list then simple didn't exist ! The "white spade hand set" p/n WS-25 was almost certainly lifted from the Bulova Timer Labs aerospace clocks and timers which had been using the same part numbered hands for many years prior to their use for one year on the 1962 Accutron Astronaut... The white spade hand set was all set to be used on this Bulova prototype but it was never put into production..... Here are some of the Bulova ads all dated to 1962, It's a fact that every Bulova factory picture that dates back to 1962 clearly shows the white spade hand set and one more distinguishing feature is the factory dial which only says "Accutron" on the dial and lacks the white "dots" between the hour marks and were only added after 1962.... Here is a more close up and detailed view of this 1962 Astronaut's movement, It's a 214HN with a date code of M2 (1962).... Now back to the "X-15" desigation i have personally given to this watch (Bulova never called this watch the "X-15") I call this the X-15 watch because of one of the ways Bulova advertised it back in 1962 and is shown in these 1962 date adverts.... And these 1962 Accutron Astronnaut can been fairly clear on the wrists of the X-15 pilots as seen in these pictures.... Plus record-setting watch band can be seen in those pictures of the X-15 pilots and talked about in this newspaper article.....
  3. All the NOS Rolex parts were bought off ebay for pennies on the dollar because I just kept low balling my bids on parts I needed, I would finally win one part and then another and another and after about a year I had everything I needed to put it together myself. The NOS Rolex 3135 was complete when I bought it and it of course cost me the most but I still got a great deal on it when you compare it to what you see them selling for on ebay, It was a even better deal when I got it and I realized that althought I was told that it would have a older silver "Nivarox" hairspring it did not ! I was super happy to see it in fact had the newer “Parachrom Bleu” hairspring !
  4. The face up amplitude of 336 is pretty high but I would expect the face up or down to be the highest reading but the other 2 look very good and there is only a 4 degree difference between them, I'd like to see a little lower beat error than the 0.4 on the one but really what I want is perfection which is unreasonable so all and all not bad numbers really..... :^)
  5. Thanks, I really like it this way so it's pretty much set in stone...
  6. Yep the Quartz Accutrons, They just don't call em Astronauts anymore because most people are bored with Space now.....
  7. Well NO, This nasa photo bobbee the troll is saying is some kind of proof has a very simple answer..... That watch is a 1963 Astronaut that he bought in 1962 and no time machine is needed because Bulova was just like any other watch company so anyone could buy next years model before the end of the year of course ! There are NO pictures of a 1962 (M2) Astronaut watch with a dial with the dots between the hour markers and this photo is no exception because the date code can not be seen on the watch he is wearing so it proves nothing other than he is sporting next years model, Good for him ! That photo is nothing more than someone wearing next years (1963) model as shown in this 1963 Bulova ad... The watch that John McKay is sporting (a M3) didn't appear in Bulova ads until 1963, FACT ! Here is what a 1962 Accutron Astronaut looked like as shown in this 1962 Accutron sales cards that were only given to Bulova dealers..... Here is more Bulova advertising dated 1962 which also shows a watch that was a new model for 1962 the "Spaceview "B" yellow dot M2.... And here in a Bulova brochure dated 1962.... Or here is a Bulova X-15 ad in Flying Magazine dated Nov 1962...... Or this Bulova ad from Popular Boating Aug 1962...... I think this will clear up any misinformation about the first all stainless steel Accutron Astronaut the M2 anyone might have come across.
  8. bobbee...... http://forum.tz-uk.com/showthread.php?383713-Banned-from-WUS He thinks anyone who is negative to him is really just me using a dif name but 95% of the time he is wrong.....
  9. No he's not here, Yet, but never say never, He's currently over at TZ-UK trying to gather support for his campaign....
  10. He goes most of the time as "bobbee" but here are just a few of Bobbee's other names he's been known to go by JANEY aka SkankHunt42 aka benderbending aka tedward aka Bobbee53 aka coryt aka TruthSeeker aka thumbs aka watch junkie aka hawk53 aka kiddo kipps aka harvey aka (many more), All of those names have been banned many time across many forums and all for trolling, abuse of other members and breaking multiple site rules. WARNING If you make this guy mad he will launch a all out character assassination campaign against you and with him anything goes and nothing is off limits ! Lies, fake screen grabs, photo shopped pictures and images are just a few things he does AND he will contact mods all most all watch forum and send all the Lies, fake screen grabs, photo shopped pictures and images plus cherry picked quotes that you really did make but out of context such as "There is a meme on the web that says I like to kick puppies" and then he will post that Accutronitis said "I like to kick puppies" and as a mod you should ban him ! And he will NEVER give up his character assassination campaign, He has been running one against me for over a year and a half because in his eyes I was to blame for him getting kicked off the myBulova panel and banned for life from the site but the fact is him verbally abusing me over a watch I have proved over and over to be genuine but he calls a "fakery" and that was just the final straw, He had been verbally abusing members for a long time and it had just gotten worse and worse over time to the point the owners of myBulova were left with no other choice but to cut him lose. Back then he told me in a PM that "It's all over for you because you poked the bear !" to which I replied "whatever" and then shorty after that exchange all the lies and BS about me start popping up in forums everywhere and it took a HUGE amount of time and effort to try and find all of it and expose all of it for what it truly is lies and made up BS but he will always have a slight edge over me due to the fact it is human nature that all the bad stuff is much easier to believe than the truth no matter how well presented the truth is or how great your evidence !
  11. No, I'll be buried with this one, It's NOS Swiss made 18kt and has never been worn by anyone including myself.....
  12. I take it you don't need to know anymore due to the amount of time that has passed ?
  13. I have found my timegrapher 1000 ($150) to be right on the money as far as if the timegrapher says +5 s/d dial up and I leave the watch dial up for 24 hours it runs +5 s/d, if your watch spends a lot of time on your wrist in a certain position most of the time I would suggest making that the main position for adjusting the watch and then wear it a few days and if it's let's say +4 s/d adjust it in it's main position -3 s/d and check it again by wearing it for a few more days and you should be good to go......
  14. There will be only one line if you have a beat error of 0.0ms and if there is two lines the bigger the beat error the wider apart the lines will be......
  15. While it's true a timegrapher numerical readout is a average of each of the readouts it can be adjusted so it take a sample every 60 seconds all the way down to every 2 seconds, Every 2 seconds may not be real time but it's not real that bad and it tell you everything you need to know. But the timegrapher also shows information on beat error and rate error in real time by watching the grapher part of the timegrapher, Each dot being displayed is just one beat out of 28,800 beats in one hour or 16 beats in 2 seconds (if the watch in question has a beat rate of 28,800 bph) so if beat rate (the line going up or down) or beat error (the lines getting more or less wider apart from each other) are all over the place you will see it in real time on the graph as the dots being all over the place on the screen and that will definitely have an effect on amplitude and not in a good way, But if the timegrapher is showing the dots in a nice very consistent line or lines (lines if there is a beat error) you know the amplitude is going to be consistent because your not going to ever have inconsistent amplitude that's all over the place without it having a effect on ether beat rate or beat error or both and the same goes the other way around, that effect will show up on the graph and all it takes is some experience to recognize what the graph is showing you........
