  1. I will add to my story, as I said, the first rep I bought was from perfect watches, bad on me, but it was an easy transaction and the watch shipped in two days. Then I bought my second watch from one of the TD, and had the issue of the ploprof not being in stock, so I offered to take another seamaster, a 45mm ceramic dial ultimate with black rubber band, they said ok, and sent me a invoice for the additional money which I paid instantly, they thanked me, then 24 hours latter I get another e-mail stating that the one they agreed to was now out of stock also and all that was available was one with SS band. I honestly wanted a rebber band as I plan on using this watch for work, I am a dentist so the band has to be washable, and the ss band is heavy which does tire my wrist by the end of the day. Either way I agreed and we will see if I finally get a watch, and we will see if they offer to return the difference in price as the ss one was less money. I also ordered a watch from Perfect clones yesterday, I liked that they took paypal, again transaction was smooth and they have actually already shipped my watch. I will deffinitly do buisness with them again, the other TD, I am not sure..., I was fine with the first watch being out of stock, but to offer me another and make me pay the difference only to then back out and say that one was also out of stock is not right.
  2. I will mention a Bulova, since someone brought up Bulova. I bought a Bulova Precisionist last month that is really beautiful, but it has a sweeping second hand very mechanical like even though it is still a quartz movement. I will post a picture latter.
  3. looking at the rolex yachtmasterII from a couple of the td. The ones I see seem to all have the asian 7750 movement. They state that they have a working chronograph. But do they typically have the 10 minute timer working or not? I am guessing no but it is not terribly clear on the sites
  4. if we want to know the exact time look at your phone! Well said!!!!
  5. I have had the bug for watches for years now I just never discovered the rep market. I currently have over 15 watches in my collection, and this is after donating some to my kids, who have taken an interest! I will admit that 3/4 of my watches are currently quartz, but some are still interesting watches. I also have a couple vintage watches like a 1950s bumper omega seamaster Gen
  6. I may get pounded for this question, but I will ask anyway. On this site I see many beautiful watches, but most if not all are either manuals or automatics. I understand the beauty of these watches, and I own a few and plan on owning quite a few more but... I also have a nice stock of Quartz movement watches, mainly seikos, bulovas and citzen eco drives. Many of these are really nice looking watches, and some of them are actually getting old. One of the seikos was given to me by my father as a high school graduation gift in 1984. The watch still runs perfectly, I do not wear it any more as it s quite beat up from years of being used, and now it is more of a sentimental thing. I replaced it with a newer version of itself the year my 19 year old son was born, and that seiko is still running and I do wear it sometimes. I like my quartz watches when I do activities that might harm a timepiece. I have a couple of luminox watches that I also love, they have titanium cases so they are light, and also very beautiful. Anyway, I like all my watches, each for certain reasons. Am I wrong about this? Am I missing something? Why does there seem to be a stigma when it comes to quartz watches?
  7. thanks, that makes me feel better as I plan on buying more watches, then a few more then a few more!!!
  8. Okay, as some know I am a bit new at this game, I have ordered from perfectwatches (bad on me for not knowing, lesson learned), I have also bought a watch from another member through the forum listings!! Last, I ordered a watch through one of the TD. At first it all seemed to go fine, I ordered a rep omega ploprof with orange band, and since I was new to the game I just ordered the least expensive one to see what the buying experience was like. The watch was 148 plus shipping and other things. Very doable. Yesterday the dealer contacted me and told me that that watch was unavailable, and that I needed to change watches, so I suggested three other watches, the same one with a black band, the ultimate edition of the same watch and if all failed a higher end omega seamaster 45mm. I got the email last night that the only one available was the seamaster 45. a add on of 240 dollars. I am fine with this as I had planned on ordering this watch next month. However all of the ploprofs are still listed on his web page as available. So is this normal, or did I get a case of bait and switch? I am not complaining, just trying to understand for future transactions. I honestly want the orange omega that I originally ordered next month....
  9. the trustytime site also appears to be down, does anyone have another web address other than that listed on the links?
  10. thanks, that is what I tried yesterday and it did not work, seems to be working fine today. Thanks!! Out of curiosity, what is www.perfect-clones.net it does look identical....
  11. I will find out, I got an e-mail back today stating that the watch I ordered is out of stock, so I gave another couple of options so we will see!!!
  12. Tried the normal link for perfect clones and it didn't work, but I found this link on google. Looks like their site. Is it or not?
  13. http://www.perfect-clones.net/ I also found this site, it looks like their web site. Is it them? Did they change again?
  14. I am wanting to try perfect clones or trusty time, but the links that are on this site do not seem to be working, I did go through the full threads and tried the latest links but neither works. The one for pure time did work though.
  15. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Tag-Heuer-Link-Stainless-Steel-Automatic-Mens-Watch-WJF211B-2600/281685677365?_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20131003132420%26meid%3D1670868d357b4299b467c80fb542699f%26pid%3D100005%26rk%3D3%26rkt%3D6%26sd%3D391161579447&rt=nc
  16. Thanks, I ended up also ordering a watch from pure-time last night, fingers crossed!
  17. I ordered my first watch from perfectwatches and the order went fine, and I created an account, but thus far I have not been able to use the account as they are supposed to send me a e-mail to confirm the account. The problem is that I never received the e-mail, I asked to resend it and still no go. I checked junk and spam folder and still nothing. I tried contacting their help line and they said the order was fine but did not solve the e-mail mystery. I even got a txt message from them about the order, but still no e-mail so I could activate the account. Has anyone had an issue like this? If yes, how did you solve it?
  18. Oh and btw, at WWW.perfectwatches.cn in the Bretling area, the asian movent watches are either 199 or 247, while the two offered with swiss movement are 740
  19. To those few that actually gave a good answer with a good starting point, thanks, to the rest of you, sorry I got nothing.... Honestly search is much easier when you actually have a couple of starting points.
  20. what is the difference between the japanese movements and the swiss movements on the replicas watches, some of the vendors seem to ask 300 to 400 more for the swiss movements. What are the real differences? Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I am new to all of this
