I love many of the rep versions that have chronos but it seems to me that the A7750 might not be a improvement over the quartz movement at least for the stopwatch part of the mechanism. What are everyone's opinions on this

Ok, so I am going to meet a local watch repair guy who has been in the buisness for over 30 years. Should I be worried about bringing him reps? What I am asking is has anyone had any bad experiences with repair guys who frown on Reps?

My vintage Seiko quartz, I have had it since 1984, My father gave it to me for High school Graduation and for many years it was my one and only watch!

What is the difference between 17 jewels, 23 jewels and so forth? What do more or less jewels do?

Larger wrist, I am guessing 8, with a normal std band I am always on the last hole

I like my normal Sea Dweller, but I wish it was larger, so I am obviously looking at the Deep Sea Dweller, but I see the normal version at 43/43mm and a Challenge version at 51mm. I have never seen either but I am wondering if the 51mm is not too large. I have a Bretling Navitimer and it is almost too large and I am guessing it is only 47mm. Am I wrong or is the 51mm going to be too big? I guess I could get both...

also, the insert was placed from the top, that looks correct, is it? Only reason I ask is that if it goes on from the top then what really stops it from poping off whenever?

16600, I did manage to get the bezel off, and I reinstalled it, the insert did have some sticky crud under it but it is not nearly enough to hold it in place when moving the bezel.. What else cand be used? A drop of superglue? (very carefully placed)

I have a decent watch repair kit arriving tomorrow from Amazon Prime.... I might wait till then. do I just apply pressure under the sides of the bezel moving around the perimeter? would a small drop of silicone glue under the insert be appropriate to fix it in place?

Hi, I just received my new to me rep sea Dweller. I am very happy with the watch with one exception, when I turn the bezel, the insert does not turn with the bezel, it turns but not as much. So it is either hanging on the crystal? or just loose? How do I fix this? How do I remove the bezel and the insert?
