I wish someone would offer online training, the timezone courses claim that they are not enough to diagnose or repair watches. I would like a real in depth course online...
also, could someone explain why this forum flips my pictures upside down... I have to shoot my watch upside down in order for it to load right side up in this forum...
the one I am looking at is the Tudor black shield, I have seen two versions one with the 7753 and the other with a quartz movement. However the quartz movement looks like the case is way inferior to the 7753 case, so I will probably go that route anyway. Next month's watch!!
just got a deep sea deweller and the lug measures 21mm, most leather bands are either 20mm or 22mm, so should I get a 22 and shave it to fit or get a 20 and have it slightly narrow?
I own a couple of stauer watches, bought them a couple of years ago before getting really hooked on this. What is the general opinion on their watches?
So if I really like it leave it alone or put it on my list and buy another already with the 2836 in it!!!! I think a healthy diet of a watch a month is healthy!!!
I have bought quite a few reps in a short period of time. Lots of fun!! How easy is it for me to upgrade the ones that have 2813 movements to 2836 eta clones? Is it straight forward? Where do I buy the new movements?
how do I install a Gen dial on a rolex sub rep. What do I do about the locating pins? Cut them off and glue the face? What is the correct way to do it and the easy way for those of us who are starting on this?
I bought a used PAM GMT rep from another member. The time runs great. I am guessing that the extra hand is suposed to be set to GMT and run with the hour hand, so I set it, but it is running way too slow, like 30 minutes to every hour. Am I doing something wrong? Is there an adjustment to fix this?
