  1. Well, I'd like to read some of you guys who've gone to an AD and showed off your rep without being called on your rep.

    I'll start:

Yesterday I went to an AD who sells Omegas, Bvlgaris, etc. Nothing fancy ;). And this guy was looking at some PO's. As I was minding my own business looking at the Bvlgaris I just her "See that guy? he's wearing the big 45mm version of the PO" I was like 'wtf?' ... I just turned around and smiled and to my horror I hear the guy calling me "Sir, would you be so kind and show this gentleman here your PO?" I was like.. ''sureeee... .

I showed him the watch on my wrist and asked me if I could take it off, etc. Like a guy waiting to be shot at, I was waiting with a worried smile while he looked at my watch on his wrist while looking at the gens on the glass display, just then, he tells me: "beautiful watch, I will definitely be taking one" I was like: :1a::thumbsupsmileyanim: ... I left so friggin' happy!

Later I just wanted to kick myself for doing that, I should've just told them I had to go :black_eye:

Anone else would like to share their stories? :)

  2. I heard railmaster is out of production now...

Some dealers deleted it from their stocks.

My father loved my railmaster so I decided to buy one for him as a birthday present but I cannot find anywhere :)

Where are you buying railmaster xxl's?

PM is much appreciated. Many thanks.

PM Sent. Although if anyone else's looking for one you should find it with Andrew (Trusty), Perfect-Clones, Ruby, etc.

  3. Even Rolex made quartz, and better than that Rolex made automatics that 'ticked' well before quartz was established.

I know about the Quartz Rolex, and although they are really nice I enjoy the sweeping seconds hand more than the one-second interval quartz watches offer. :p

Maybe some day I'll get a Quartz, but in the meantime it's sweeping sec. hand for me! B)

  4. When I was a kid I always loved the way watches looked, I didn't have knowledge about brands, complications, etc. Just liked the way that big blob of metal looked which could tell time! <---:D

Anyways my 1st watch was a Casio, a horrible one which I loved, but my dad told me to get used to wearing a watch with a crappy price tag so if I destroyed it or lost it it would be $20 lost, not a more expensive one...

So I wore the watch for 3 years until I left it at our locker room at school and some guys ruined it, I told my dad, and got me a SS Analog, a Swatch, not bad, it was pretty sweet. Finally when I reached 9th grade my dad took my Swatch and gave me a Gen. Omega Speedy (the so called 'moon-watch') :D. I was so friggin' happy! Honestly, I almost cried... sweeeeeeet!!! That's were my real addiction started... I need help... Once you pop you just can't stop!

  5. Found it a while ago too, notice they have a section for Fake Omegas. :) Thanks for the site, I had forgotten about it.

    This just cracks me up:

Here's what buying and wearing fake/counterfeit watches really says about the wearer:

    1. Poor Grasp of Value - Replicas are made to sell by looking like something far more valuable than they are. They are seldom made for quality, carry no warranty, are made from cheap parts and are usually not worth repairing. They are basically overpriced disposable products, so are a poor value for your money.

    2. Lack of Integrity - Those that choose cheap replicas to try to impress others that they have a real luxury watch are using falsehoods to represent themselves. So that makes people wonder what else about how you represent yourself is false.

    3. Weak Ethics - Choosing replica watches shows the world that you are willing to support unethical and illegal businesses--not giving a care about the ethics and legalities involved if they get in the way of getting something that you want cheaply.

    4. Gullible - Especially where someone unknowingly buys a fake, they show themselves to be easily deceived and someone that throws caution to the winds trying to get a super deal on an expensive item.

    5. Isolated - Certainly there are no clubs for owners of fakes. No comraderie among fellow owners. No sharing of tips, tricks and performance issues. No assistance with operation, warranty or repair issues. Fake buyers are on their own with nobody to care, nobody to help and nobody to compliment or encourage them--except for the occasional person you might encounter that doesn't know enough about watches to realize you are trying to 'impress' them with a cheap counterfeit.

Look at #5... If they only knew! :bleh:

    ____________

We buy reps because we appreciate the design, we're even anal if they have flaws, we don't get them to get a social position, honestly, all of us can pull reps off, however, if a guy pulls out of a crappy Yugo with spray paint, wearing an old t-shirt with a Rolex Masterpiece on his wrist we can all say the watch is either fake or he stole it. :D

  6. Guys stop fighting for something that can be settled by getting the info from Wiki:

    Tourbillon

    From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A tourbillon (IPA: [toɹ bi ˈjɑn], French for "whirlwind") is a type of mechanical clock or watch escapement invented in 1795 by Abraham-Louis Breguet that is designed to counter the effects of gravity and other perturbing forces that can affect the accuracy of a chronometer. This is accomplished by mounting the escapement in a rotating frame, so that the effect of gravity cancels out when the escapement is rotated 180

  7. My first order is about to arrive from Silix! :D. Asian SFSO White face + Random TAG for $20 (sale)

I ordered about two weeks ago, but it didn't ship until last week because the first watch didn't pass QC. Now according to EMS shipping it released from customs at midnight last night in Prague (3 hours drive from my city). I'll be really happy to get it today so I can wear it out partying tonight - Friday night in Prague :)

If not I'll have to wait till monday :( and just wear it to work.

I know there is a lack of reviews/pics of the Asian SFSO with white face. A lot of people are interested in it because of the great price and supposedly less noticeable lack of AR. I'll post some pics when I get it, also some pics of the random TAG. I'm really crossing my fingers because I forgot to specify to Silix that I wanted a men's watch. I don't know what I'll do with a womans replica, especially a lower-quality one. If I give it to a girl I'm dating then she'll know that my watch is a rep also

If I'm happy with the Asian SFSO, I'll be ordering a blue or black Swiss ETA from Silix as soon as he gets them in.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but once the watch reaches your doorstep, aliens dressed like hookers will steal it... yep, it happens... -_-
