  1. Better watch out.. There's an urban legend about Zombie Liberace appearing at midnight on the thirteenth day after you buy one of these to rape you!!!

Isn't that the whole purpose people buy this Gaytona for? I think they're expecting it ;) ...

  2. If you are in EL Salvador I will keep it and find a watchmaster that can fix it there. I am from Honduras and i was vacationing in Honduras on December. I got My noobmariner service for $20.00 is a bargain. Servicing watch in the US is about $130.00 and that is cheap.

    Edit for spelling

^_^ That's the answer I was waiting for, just a bit worried about the consequences on getting it fixed over here, but you just gave me the boost I needed. BTW I asked Andrew and he replied he would cover the fix for my watch for $30 or less depending on how much it will cost, now that's good customer service! :D

I'll look for a good watch smith on the yellow pages, and will go on Monday, hopefully it will be a quick fix and nothing major *crossing my fingers*...

  3. Perhaps if I take it to a watch smith? I will contact Andrew before taking it... I'm not thrilled about the idea of returning it back to China... So I'll let you guys know... :(

Of all the horror stories I hear about the pearl being in the wrong place, the watch band being too flimsy, bezel all mis-aligned, etc. And mine has none of that... and now I have to return it, D'oh!

Ah yes one final comment, it always stop at 10 o'clock now.

  4. Ok, so watches arrived today 4 days after they were shipped from China to El Salvador! 42.5mm PO w/black bezel I found it ticking, the UPO 'Lite' 45.5mm wasn't so I thought "well it just needs a good winding'' I did and presto it ran, after watching it for 45 seconds the hand just stopped 'weird' I thought, gave it a gentle tap and off again it went, just to stop again 60 seconds later it stopped, then I changed the date and it needed a few good winds to change each date, the crown feels a bit loose but sturdy.

So I gave it a good wind again 30 winds, adjusted the date and time, and off I went... a minute later it stopped...

It usually stops at the 9 position, and it's becoming frustrating...

Highlights: Aesthetically it's as good as it gets didn't notice any flaws, the clasp is sturdy and closes great and isn't flimsy at all, it's a very solid watch.

    Please help!!!

Any tips on how to open the case back would be appreciated, I've heard something about loose screws and the anti-magnetic cover bothering...

  5. It's weird, a few months back I would've been ignorant enough to ignore a Panerai and pass it off as a cheap-o watch, yep, pure ignorance my friends, and I love watches, I thought I was very knowledgeable about the subject, but apparently I wasn't, NOW I can say I am, so this rep business has it's pro's (besides the huge saving might I add :D), it makes us even more knowledgeable about watches as we advance in this great hobby of ours. I'm considering a Panerai as my next watch right after I get that gorgeous Breitling Navitimeter TT :D!

  6. I hope this serves as some type of example on how long it takes 2 watches (In this case two Omega PO, one UPO 45.5mm & the other a 42.5mm PO) to ship from Andrew (Trusty) to the U.S.A; In this case all the way to Miami, FL. using the TNT courier service.

3 DAYS from China to the U.S. - Not bad at all!

  7. Apparently no, I shouldn't be worried:

    30 Aug 2007 - 16:00 Miami - Consignment Received At Transit Point - ^_^

Let's just hope it all goes well :). I'm expecting the package to arrive to my country tomorrow, if it does and all goes as planned I should have them on Monday :D!

 The real test will be my country's customs... They have the bad habit of stealing stuff... :disgust:

  8. Cool so it changed... "Consignment Held For Inspection By Customs"....

I did a bit of research on Google and this comment came up from a Steroids forum (The guy supposedly works as a US customs agent) commenting on the guy worrying about the package being held by customs:

"What your note below says doesn't necessarily mean it was examined by customs. I would guess this is moving FedEx or UPS. When exports are consigned, often " Consignment Held For Inspection By Customs" or something similar simply means the flight hasn't left or the paperwork hasn't been approved. If it says "pending customs exam" when it hits the US, you are screwed. Don't confuse "pending customs release" with "pending customs exam"

So I really shouldn't be worried if that's the case -_- ... or should I be worried?

  9. My order says: "Potential Connection Delay " does anyone know what it means? It's about 1 day away from El Salvador, it's in Miami! :o

I just can't wait to see the package lying on my room when I arrive! :D No mercy for the box it's in, when it arrives I'm going to rip it a new one XD

  10. If it sounds too good to be true, then it probably is too good to be true. Unless it's a very close & trusted friend you actually know... Think about it, they're selling you watches that go above $10,000 each for $2,000 a piece, I smell a scam...

  11. Hey guys, I'm buying a Yacht-Master (Rolesium) w/the correct cyclops position, I asked the dealer if he would sell me the box for a certain amount and he told me $50 w/shipping included for buying it along with the watch, just hope the papers will be the correct ones (can anyone clarify if they put the correct watch papers or they're always for the Datejust?... ! Here are the pics he sent me:

Think I should go for it? Let me know :)

  12. Ok, after ordering my watches from Andrew a while ago (Aug. 14), we ran into some trouble because apparently my address wasn't right (had 00000 as my zipcode, but either way I had to put it that way because zipcode was required on the form and we don't have a zipcode here in El Salvador -_- ), so Andrew tells me FedEx China will not ship the package so he switched to TNT, just wondering if you guys can please give me some info. on this shipping service and if it's usually fast or slow (and safe!). I'm not THAT upset about the switch, just concerned.

BTW Andrew has replied all of my emails super fast, usually 5-20 minutes after I send them :o

*Already searched the website for TNT to no avail.

  13. I'm getting the YM from puretime after they recommended me on that watch, it has the cyclops in the correct position and has the solid mid links to boot :). For $238.

*Edit: I'm happy to say shipping will now be $30 to E.S. :) . In other words, I'm getting a new YM!!! :p

  14. Ok, so my next purchase to be is a Rolex YM Rolesium, I have been leaning for the model Andrew @ trusty time offers for $218 with swiss ETA (I know, it probably is a Chinese copy or whatnot-can someone please explain further on movement?), anyways my problem is that I searched and found that the YM that Eddie Lee offers has the correct magnification but I have no clue if the correct one is 2.5x or 1.5x... and it also states that the 'cyclops' is too far on the right on Andrews but it's on the correct position on Eddie Lee's... and I hate the fact that Eddie Lee's website is a photobucket album, doesn't show prices, no description and who knows how the checkout is... I also notice that the font is very bold on the date, as you can see I'm super confused on which one to get, can someone help me here please?! I'm really confused :black_eye:
