I must have it!!!!!! It's probably a prototype that Breitling came out with to fight with the fakes!

At least he's honest on the strap not being from Breitling.

  2. O_o I've only had good experience with watch smiths, I took my 1st rep, the UPO "Lite" to a watch smith to fix the movement because the seconds hand stopped @ 10 o'clock. Well, I took the watch, gave it to him, asked me what the problem was and told me that he would call me to tell me the price. Two days after that I get the call that the watch is ready, he oiled the movement and told me a broken part from the movement that was the cause of the jam (which he also replaced), when I went there to pick up the watch he gave it to me and charged me.... $30! He commented on how nice the watch was and also asked me if I wanted to have it resized, "how much?" I asked, he replied "oh don't worry it's free", he also gave me a 6 month warranty. =) Nicest watch smith ever!

BTW the UPO Lite is running like a charm.

  3. Here's the WRONG dial font and hands:

    FM002LB03.JPG

Notice the 1 it has a 'tail', the 11 is wrong too, and all the numbers are too big compared to gen. The jumping hour hand is too rounded in the middle, the minute hand is as it should be.

Here's the CORRECT dial font (both Color Dreams and 'normal' crazy hour):

    FM002LB02.JPG

Notice the 1 - it's nice and slim, and not too big. Also notice the hands, nice and lean.

    Here's a gen. For comparison:

There are a lot of variations, from the crazy color dreams to blue, green, pink, black, white, etc. On the non-color dreams version.

  4. Hi The Zigmeister, I have a Cartier Santos 100 Chrono w/the New Asian 7750 28,800bph, and I wanted to swap the movement with the swiss 7753, now, I know the dial has to be different to accommodate the bigger date (from what I understand) so I'll be getting the dial for the Swiss version of this model, Ofrei tells me the 7753 will run me $580 more or less, however I found out that the Hamilton Aviator Chrono comes with the 7753 (they go for around $350 used) but I noticed the Date is @ 6 like this:

    Hamilton_Khaki_Aviation.jpg

Would you say this could be a direct swap, the date position won't be affected by this since the Santos has it @ 4? My rep has the pusher @ 10 only that the Asian 7750 doesn't change the date by it, will it work if the 7753 was to be put in there instead of the Asian 7750?

I appreciate your help The Zigmeister, thanks!

  5. I too lost my insert for my DRSD. Mind you I have had it awhile. Any suggestions which insert I should get? There are several 'black' ones on the site but I am not sure which would look the most accurate. Thanks.

You got me on that one, sorry but I don't know the answer to that. If it's just the pearl you're looking to change I guess they're all the same, I would definitely wait for an expert to chime in with their 2-cents on this one.

  6. That happened a lot, it's extremely annoying I agree, I had this one guy who for some reason enjoyed watching over my shoulder what I was doing on the computer without saying a word the whole time, one day I was in a bad mood and he came that day and was actually eating a sandwich watching the screen, I just minimized everything, turned back and I said: "do you mind?" really angry, sorry but I hate it when people are looking at what I'm doing on the computer, one or two times its fine, or if it's a friend or they actually TALK before getting behind me, but FFS just standing behind me is downright creepy and annoying.

In your case don't snap at him, he actually has the decency to ASK instead of just standing there (aka snooping around) without saying anything like Bozo over at my old workplace (I quit a few weeks ago).

  7. I have never owned a chronograph watch before but whenever i use the chronograph functions it start/stop/resets the main second hand while the subdial second hand just continues. I dont think that is supposed to happen but I may be wrong. I was under the impression that all of the chronographic functions are carried out on the subdial leaving the bigger main hands constant. Is this something i can Fix b taking it to a jeweler and asking about it or do I need to send this back to china?

    j/k

  8. Thanks for the review! I didn't realize reps of the crazy hours even existed. I'm shocked that the pricing is so reasonable. I'm also baffled for all that is done right, the case back has spelling errors. I never understood that. Anyway, I'm new to this community and only own a single GEN which is the 2007 Tag F1. I've ordered the Omega SMP from PT and am working with Eurotimez to purchase the "noobmariner". The 2 "newbie bate" watches I guess! But, I've always wanted the crazy hours. It looks like I should get the rep and replace the band then try and source the back. If anyone knows of any good sources, please let us know!

You can get a Crazy Hours with a more correct caseback and crisper engraving if you just buy the normal crazy hours, not the color dreams version, shame because I prefer the color dreams, now, I did get mine with the caseback from the normal one and the color dreams dial, the engraving on the caseback is really well done and no spelling mistakes at all, it's really crisp like the ones from a $300 rep. I guess any dealer can get you one like mine.

  9. Thx for sharing.

I bought a crazy hour for a friend a long time ago : Iwas surpised how good it looks and how good a cheap rep can be.

There are versions without spelling mistakes, as there are obviously different manufacturers.

Also be careful about the 1 fontshape, those from Trusty don't look always accurate.

Funny watch that will draw attention. Add the colour, and you've a really original inexpensive watch.

The font of the one from trusty with the 1 spread across the corner is incorrect, I have the Black Crazy Colored dreams with that dial, it was free so I shouldn't complain but it does bug the hell out of me that the font is incorrect, so far none of the dealers could source me a dial with the correct font... so I've been looking for a Gen Crazy Hour Dial, does anyone know where I can get one?

  10. True, I was picking up my Yacht-Master at customs when I notice this guy next to me with the most horrible rep I have seen o a 2-Tone Black Sub, I mean the pearl was REALLY off-center, the watch was QUARTZ, gold chipped ''oyster'' bracelet, and a bezel that said "tachymeter"...

Instead o laughing I said "Nice watch!" ... glad to say I made his day with a simple comment, he smiled until I left...
