You gotta be kidding. Don't buy into the 'ghetto fabulous' hype surrounding this stuff. Buy Krug or if you can find it in the US, Henri Giraud. Your palate and wallet will thank you.

Apart from when he was posing for Breil adverts.
Don't remind me. It still makes me wince when I see that he ditched Brioni for Aquascutum.

I think the simple answer is that Craig is the 'official' Bond and due to the nature of the contract between Danjaq and Omega he is by extension a brand ambassador for them meaning that he has to be seen to be wearing the Bond watch during all publicity shots and public engagements. I seem to recall that during Brosnan's tenure the SMP was welded to his wrist for most of it, on and off screen.

Try using the Force. The dark side preferably.

Interesting point. I think the TAG Group that has a holding in McLaren is separate to the watch company though (TAG Heuer is now LVMH owned).
You're right but my point was that TAG/TAG Heuer and F1 are forever linked and they cannot but flog the F1 horse otherwise they lose a major part of their schtick.
-
McLaren are part of the TAG group thus the F1 connection is inescapeable.

Bruce, are those pics of a UPO? What impresses me most is the rotor decoration. Why couldn't all of them be like that?
-
Funnily enough, my 2824-2 inside my UPO from Andrew has a smoother sweep than my ETA Noobmariner with the 2836. Weird.

At least the Jumbo ears on the Nautilus gives you something to hold onto I suppose.
-
The most expensive rep I've purchased, that is to say will purchase, is an MBK Nautilus worth $450. It is, however, the pinnacle of replica horlogerie with flawless construction and actual quality control.
Yes, but does it blow you five times a day and make you breakfast?

I just spent the past hour convincing this numbskull it's a fake. I had to send him a pic of mine and also Andrew's site. Thank god he's seen sense and taken the listing down.

Here I am
You crazy, crazy bastard. That is one awesome PO. Sometimes I wish I was born with more credit than taste.

Ok, considering it appears the consensus is that a replica should not cost more than $400... Does anyone beside me buy replica chronographs with Swiss 7750/7753 movements? Am I the only one who has a fondness for chrono's with these movements?
And if I am not, and others out there are collecting these watches AND getting them for under the apparent $400 price ceiling... Can I get your source? Because last research I did found that the movement alone was around $400.
I am not proud nor ashamed to state that I have paid in excess of $1000 for a replica chrono. In fact, I now have 5 chronographs that have all cost between $750 and $1000. I wouldnt give any one of them up, and figure that some day THEY will be the only watches in my collection to be worth nearly what was paid for them.
I would imagine that it's probably because paying for a swiss 7750 and actually receiving a swiss 7750 is probably too big a gamble for $1000+. For most punters, why spend that much on a Swiss 7750 when an Asian 7750 does the job functionally and cosmetically?

That, my replica-loving chums, is what I am talking about. In another thread I pointed out that the cartel's Summer blue sub has a pretty good looking rehaut. I have seen plenty of Subs in AD's here in London that look just like the ones above. I have never really had an issue with conical rehauts and just put it down to rep anorak's anal retentiveness. I normally have a good eye for detail since by trade I am a bespoke tailor. I thought I was going mad. Thanks Amplitude for saving my sanity.
-
Zig, may I ask what sort of adhesive you used to secure the crown tube?
I bet he'll say something really obscure like 'unobtanium'.
-
$400 tops for me as well. But it'll better be the best f*cking rep in Christendom and it must perform fellatio for that price. Any more and the fun's gone. I think that super reps at super prices are an exercise in futility. It has been proven what can be done at the lower price bracket so any increased prices is just profiteering.

Or just contact Narikaa and get his Nymphomariner for

Looks wokky in the direct shot of the dial. You shouldn't see the rehaut ring all the way around the dial in a head-on shot.
I've seen a lot worse. Ok, there is a bit of conicalness (sp?!) but it looks not dissimilar to my ETA noob in a head-on shot and the depth of this rehaut impresses me. From the side on shots, it looks nice and has a correct look to it. Just my opinion.
-
With all this discussion about rehauts on Subs, I came across Josh/Andrew's summer blue Sub here: http://www.pc-80108.com/rlss10004-blue-dia...362-p-1060.html
The rehaut looks amazing. Deep and not wokky. Why can't they make the ordinary Sub's rehaut like this?

I saw. My bowels are still recovering from the shock.

ofrei.com You can't buy just the insert, it comes with the bezel which we now know we can't use.
Buggery bug bug. Needs must when the devil vomits in your kettle. I suppose it has to be done. Where's the credit card...
-
Onj, where did you buy the parts? I'm seriously thinking about a bezel insert and a new face.
-
Onj, I'm friggen speechless! Can I ask you how much the gen parts are worth?
You said it Andrew. I haven't experienced wood like this since I saw the opening sequence of Barb Wire. I gotta get me a Gen insert and dial.
-
Ok, I'm sold. I want a Gen insert now!
Where do I get one from, how much does it cost, and who do I have to pay to install it?

I swear by Pecard's leather dressing. Does an amazing job for any leather and is totally harmless to you skin too.
