  1. @Gngn

The dial is actually the one that came with the Josh 1675. Its amazing what it looks like now compared to before.

RA has been an absolute pleasure to work with, and this will definitely not be my last build with him. If you have a PCG, you also need to have a Square guard too. ;)

  2. So after seeing all these awesome GMTs that RA has built, I decided to have one commissioned for myself.

Not all that complicated on the sourcing end, just a watch and bezel assembly. RA sourced me the jubilee, as well as changed the crystal. Overall, RA is great to work with, and the fact that he can get these results from a Josh 1675 are nothing short of awesome.

    So here are the pictures:)

If you like vintage GMTs, then RA is your guy.

  3. So I picked up my new summer toy today. A 2013 Triumph Street Triple R. I traded my 06 CBR600F4i in, so out with the old and in with the new.

All I can say, it is, in one word....Awesome. Hands down the best bike I've ridden. Handles like a sport bike, but way more comfortable. I'm thoroughly impressed.

And of course, pics or it didn't happen...

Looking forward to seeing this one.

Me too. It is booked for the end of the month.

  5. And the irony is that I used to absolutely hate everything Rolex. I thought they were some old mans watch, and didn't belong with a younger person. But seeing all these awesome 1680s and 1675s with big acrylic crystals just wore me down, and now that's all you'll find on my wrist. It's the comfort thing. They are just so damn comfy.

  6. So I'm kinda at a crossroads in my watch collecting, and I really don't know what to do. I have no clue as to what my next project should be. Here is the current state:

    MBK 1680

    Jackjo SSD 16600

    Tudor 7032

    Breitling SuperOcean 44

    MBK 16710

    1675 on route to RolexAddict

And no collection is complete without a DOXA 1200t.

Here is the quandary, I don't know what to get next. I don't want to rebuy anything that I've already sold in the past. Here's that list, not in any particular order:

    PloProf

    BR02 and 03

    UPO

    16610

    DSSD

    SuperOcean 42 and SuperAvenger

    JLC NSD

    A few PAMs

    A Graham

And a whole bunch of Seikos and Hamiltons

    Gen Sinn U2

    Doxa 750t

And a few others that I can't remember

Now I know that there have been no APs or Hublots or Tags or IWCs in the collection, and that's mainly because their designs do nothing really for me.

The only thing I can really see left is a Snowflake and possibly a Tudor Big Block 7750 chrono, or a 42 Explorer II.

So if you were in my shoes, what's next?

    Thanks in advance.

  7. That is true, people run like the dickens when a goose is chasing them. I guess evolution worked for them. They look bigger and meaner when their wings are out, and making noises.

you mean you're not supposed to run?

Absolutely not. I was taking pictures of geese a few years ago, and I ran as fast as my legs would carry me when they started chasing me.

  8. Lol, us lower 48ers never know. The closest we get to wildlife down here in Jersey is deer and Canada Geese. That Brown Bear looked like a big boy, I hope that picture was shot with a 20x zoom.

That's another funny thing... why do people shriek and run when a goose chases them? You see it all the time. Hey look, it's time for t-ball practice!

That brownie was maybe 100 yards away. I wasn't after his food and he didn't want to eat anything I had so we were fine. Mutual understanding.

  9. Ha, those were in my front yard!  Don't you know we Arctic dwellers live in igloos and fight polar bears to get to the mail box?! Just ask Asciwhite.  :tu:

Seriously, he's the newest addition at the zoo. My friend works there so I was able to get right up close and personal. Yep. Too darn close. WAY too darn close.

This is as close as I like to get out in the wild.
