Any progress on this? Did you source the dial & Hands?
-
In my best estimation it would be an 80’s dial. Or a 80’s service dial.

It is a 62 double swiss dial ....it is rare ..but is it worth 20 grand....to the person who is willing to pay it , I suppose

A simple mod to pop off the bezel. I prefer it on a bracelet.
With bezel

Wanted to build a early 1016 with some spares in my parts bin
JMB case set
2824 clone
Raffles dial and hands
Not 1:1 accurate and isn’t impressive out of the box but it has a chapter ring and Swiss only markings.
I wanted to experiment with some aging techniques and to see if I was able to make it look GILT and somewhat resemble a water damaged glossy dial
When my lume kit arrives I may add an exclamation point at 6
Using a combination of air brush paints and a semi gloss clear coat finish. I aged the hand lume to match
I achieved some decent results that I am happy with.
Assembly and here we have it
Thanks for looking

There are a number of ways to do this build. None of them simple Probably the easiest method would be to start off with a base 6541. Remove the rotating bezel Ans mod the case to fit a smooth bezel that also has been modified. This will require some machine work

Yup I go on there for the laughs as well.
My favorite is when someone buys a watch and then asks " what does everyone think?"
its too late now dude you bought it and if it was a total franken junker hes gone and you never gonna see him again..
ask BEFORE you buy
The vintage rolex marketplace is a minefield and those that dont know will get fleeced!
I found that being interested and building reps , you learn soo much more about the details of the watch and what to look for because we OBSESS over the details.
I developed OCD because of this damn hobby lol

Wow! This is absolutely beautiful! A 1675 is top on my wish list.

The new one will be an improvement. If that is a gen insert it is from a 16750 I am still a bit rusty on IDing inserts
I buy my rep inserts onl eBay and age them myself.
I could help you out with that If you need one and have a specific fade in mind.
A selection of a couple of my favourites
Sky blue / cherry red. Denim / salmon and Sky blue and light rose

I think I may have found the watch on IG that was the inspiration of your dial.
AFAIK this is gen with natural patina.

Oyster case waterproofing question

@jimcon11 That is a sharp looking tudor I have been getting into the early tudor and rolex 34mms lately
I am on the hunt for a nice 7904 or 7909
Yuki sells a domed crystal that may fit this case.
Model no: No.44006/C 294
Model fit: Tudor Oyster Prince 74000 wiithout date magnifier or Tudor Ranger 9050
Material: Acrylic
Outer Diameter: 29.40mm
Inner Diameter: 27.80mm
Height: 3.50mm

This is a Silix 15000 case set that I used for this build but it fits the mid case well . also fits the Raffles 34mm cases however the ID of the bezel does need to be increased on those.
