  1. I have to respectfully disagree with you on that one. This one does not scream replica at all, they did a really good job repping this one. I have the gen on my wrist as we speak and any non-watch enthusiast would never be able to tell this was a replica unless your face is 2cm from the dial - even then so any non-watch savy person would not be able to tell. Again, it's hard to gauge how good of a rep this is from the dealer pics alone but I suspect that this one will be a very, very good replica even with the few minor flaws.

Yeah i agree i was little hot on the sauce ;) but i think they are not minor flaws to be honest.

I em just tierd of the Chinese mini flaws, if i did not now better i woud think they have some agrement whit the swiss to put always some flaws on reps

  2. I think the price is OK , and the general look is very good, but the two flaws of the half dot at 3 and the "extra" dot on the triangle at @ 12 are very obvious when you are aware of them.

The flaws are what i call 2meter flaws its a easy thing to spot and even non watch nuts now about breiltings and may have tried it at a AD.

this one its screaming "hello my name is replica" i have comperd to my gen photos of one i had sometime ago.

    Cheers

  3. I see alot of talk here and their so i thought maybe best to have one thread to talk about flaws and show them, also talk about fix on some of them.

date window seems to differ tru when models where issued.

but the subdials that we need to talk about are they very wrong or is it only a light flaw? what models has the best subdials?

i have had the mbk sec at 9 and i feel the China sec at 12 is very well made so to bad if the flaws will make it bad.

    Cheers

  4. Not true, I'm afraid.

SWAT is a name given to any "special weapons and tactics" team in the US. In Germany SEK is like SWAT and they get kicked their a**es badly on any competition vs GSG9 as well. And if it gets serious, SWATs will call for the HRT, a unit similar to the GSG9 - but with much worse reputation. (They should've allowed Deltas to work inside US, btw.)

GSG9 simply beats em all on world competitions. Sorry.

GSG9 come whit some prof pleas, Bope have proven themself on a daily basis in the Favelas in Brazil and they have to act and go under fire against kids whit ak47's on a daily basis and hostage, kidnaping and more vonerubel situations EVERY DAY.

Special task force south africa is beyond any group this guys are hardcore they are trained like the special forces of south africa some of the most efficent fighting combat units in the world..what was the murder rate in south africa last year i think it was 16000 and in Brazil its also crazy like 150 cops killed until now this year..

Not to forget fighting under winter condition Russian special forces like the Speznatz woud win over any country in the world same whit the Norwigans that trains US special forces in winter combat..

A police force have to be proven in combat, biggest test of a police officer is when under fire and fighting for his and his fellow mens life.

In Norway all special unit police officer serves time in Eastern europe to see and be apart of armed combat.

  5. YES I CAN.

Here is the way I look at it... SOMEONE has to pay for the engineering, tooling, machining and production of the parts necessary to basically take a movement that was meant to do one thing and make it do something completely different. These makers arent taking parts off of a shelf and slapping them on a movement and calling it a day. (at least not on the sec at 12 ROO). Take a look at the pics of this movement, some thought went in to that watch. And what other watch is that movement going to be used on? How many sec at 12 chronographs are out there???

If they sell 500 of these watches and you attribute $250 to each movement for the moving of the second subdial (which I dont think is accurate...) they will cover the cost of all the research, tooling, machining and manufacturing. But too much less than the $250 premium, and I dont think they would.

PLUS, the entire case was redesigned. They DIDNT just slap the new movement in the old case! The new case is VASTLY better than the $300 ones.

I think MOST still fail to realize that we [censored] about the cost of a $600 watch when it is replicating a $20-$40k watch. I think the people who should be shitting purple twinkies are those people who buy the gen! What the hell are they REALLY getting for their money besides the ability to say they have the real thing!

To compare, I once paid $6k for a custom built turbo system for a Honda Civic. WHY??? When there was another available for half that... Because I wanted something different. And the price I paid included the research, tooling and manufacture of what I wanted. My only downfall was that I lived in California and the first time I got pulled over, I had the car impounded because the system was not CARB approved.

I dont think we take in to consideration the cost of R&D when we try to "guess" the cost of manufacturing. And the simple fact is EVERYTHING in China is costing more to manufacture this year. 75% of the merchandise that I sell is manufactured and imported from China. I negotiate directly with the factory, and bring this stuff in by the container... My costs have risen 32% so far in 2008.

    Just some food for thought.

    I agree 100%

    well said

  6. My vote goes to the SAS, 1st SFOD-D for military assignments and to the GSG9 for police assignments.

The GSG9 wins almost any competition vs other SWAT teams around the globe each year, btw.

Police force GSG9 cant win over proven trained police combat units like SWAT,BOPE,SPECIAL TASK FORCE this guys see armed fighting more times in a month then GSG9 sees in a year.

HAHAHA Are you guys serious. The ANSWER is china all the way. China is the next great super power of the world. Why do you think Americans are so afraid of everything they see the chinese do. The chinese army has about 350 million people (thats more than the american population!!) and the america army only has a mere 1 million people. And the chinese economy will be the most strongest as well.

A nuke or ten woud set China back to the stoneage and they woud never see it coming that is what super power nation can do stealth baby B)

You see the only reason countrys like Iran and N.Korea is not blown away by the US is becasue of int pressure the US can't afford to lose all their allies so they have to play smart..Yes i now Iraq was not smart but what do we now :g:

  7. Dani that's exactly what I thought.

The black dial RC seems to have flat silver subdials while rep looks like it comes with shiny silver ones.

    Here is a gen:

    audemarspiguet25940SKooD001.jpg

    audemarspiguet25940SKooD002.jpg

White dialed version seems to be closer but still subdials look a little bit off being a bit too dark:

    Rep:

    rubberroo012wg5.jpg

    Gen:

    AP_OSRO_rubss_whi.jpg

    AP_OSRO_rubss_whi2.jpg

    You are correct.

Also on the white dialed same flaw.

But nothing big i think as RL said can depend on lighting but as i see it and all photos i have seen of a watch in the owners hand it has greyish silver subdials and not so dark.

    Cheers

  8. I wear on regular basis gens costing 10-20k$ at 23yr old and i like nike shoes and a hoodies.

I now that if i wear a aproo rep or a gen at the same price most people will think its fake either way.

So i realy don't cear what other thinks or say..I wear a watch becasue i like it not beacuse other likes it..

But if i was hanging out whit people having lots of gens i woud cear but i em the only watch nut in my crowd.

    Cheers

  9. WOW.

    Amazing watch and cool pics

I just got back home from a week in Barcelona.

I've seen 3 OffShores in real life and all 3 were Rubberclads. There were also a lot of offshores at ADs there with like 3 Rose Gold RubberClads that seem to be scarce around the world now.

I always thought I prefer regular SS version and Rubberclad with RG case but these pics look great.

The thing that bothers me is if they made the subdials correct in black dialed rubberclad - in all AD displays there it looked like if they were matte silver and in our dealer pics it loooks like they are way too shiny.

I usually prefer black dialed watchs so it would be my first choice but if this one is more correct then maybe I will give it a chance :)

Could you please tell us more about the quality of the rubber bezel? This is what worries me most.

The subdials on the white dials are to shiny if you compere to the gen.

I saw the black dial rubberclad at the ad and tried it and it seems the subdials are more greyish.

    Cheers

  10. DANI, FEDEX HAS A LIMIT OF LIABILITY SET FOR JEWELERY AND WATCHES AT $500... Ask me how I know this!!!! COME ON, ask me!!!

In 2002 I had a Rolex 16613 with boxes and papers stolen while in the care and custody of Fedex. I had insured the package for over $6k. When the box was received at the delivery station, the zip strip had been ripped open and the box was empty. They spent 3 months trying to "locate" the missing watch and then sent me a check for $100 (at that time the limit of liability was only $100).

The person taking your money and taking custody of the package will allow you to insure it for whatever you want, but if its lost or damaged, they wont pay more than $500.

This is the fine print from the Rolex website. See #7

Shipments (packages or freight) containing all or part of the following items are limited to a maximum declared value of US$500:

    1. Artwork, including any work created or developed by the application of skill, taste or creative talent for sale, display or collection. This includes, but is not limited to, items (and their parts) such as paintings, drawings, vases, tapestries, limited-edition prints, fine art, statuary, sculpture and collector's items.

    2. Film, photographic images (including photographic negatives), photographic chromes and photographic slides.

    3. Any commodity that by its inherent nature is particularly susceptible to damage or the market value of which is particularly variable or difficult to ascertain.

    4. Antiques, or any commodity that exhibits the style or fashion of a past era and whose history, age or rarity contributes to its value. These items include, but are not limited to, furniture, tableware and glassware.

    5. Glassware, including, but not limited to, signs, mirrors, ceramics, porcelains, china, crystal, glass, framed glass, and any other commodity with similarly fragile qualities.

    6. Plasma screens.

    7. Jewelry, including, but not limited to, costume jewelry, watches and their parts, mount gems or stones (precious or semiprecious), industrial diamonds, and jewelry made of precious metal.

    8. Furs, including, but not limited to, fur clothing, fur-trimmed clothing and fur pelts.

    9. Precious metals, including, but not limited to, gold and silver bullion or dust, precipitates, or platinum (except as an integral part of electronic machinery).

    10. Stocks, bonds, cash letters or cash equivalents, including, but not limited to, food stamps, postage stamps (not collectible), traveler's checks, lottery tickets, money orders, gift cards and gift certificates, prepaid calling cards (excluding those that require a code for activation), bond coupons, and bearer bonds.

    11. Ostrich and emu eggs.

    12. Collector's items such as sports cards, souvenirs and memorabilia. (Collector's coins and stamps may not be shipped. See the Prohibited Items section.)

    13. Guitars and other musical instruments that are more than 20 years old, and customized or personalized musical instruments.

Thanks bro for that info :good: , that sucked that you got 100$ they shoud have paid you what it was worth for sure, but as almost all groups in biz its mafia nothing more if they can hussel you for money or not pay you what is due they will..

I will not use fedex so thanks for the advice bro.

    Cheers

USPS certified insured is the safest way to ship. I have shipped many high priced items this way (none at $15k but over $6k). The people at the post office assured me that everyone who handles the package must sign for it and it is held in a safe. The postal service insurance is for real as well. I wouldn't worry about the foregin buyer. I once sold a $1,000 watch on ebay to a guy in Costa Rica. He sent me a fedex with 10 $100 bills sight unseen without asking a single question.

The worst case scenario is the guy in malaysia uses a stolen credit card for the purchase. as long as you get the funds transfered who cares?

    Tnx for advice.

Strangely, I am more afraid of selling abroad than buying from abroad.

I em the same way..I buy watches and almost no worry but now that i sell i have nerves like spaggeti

    Cheers

  11. Hi guys,

I have had my EWA on sale at all types of watch forums for couple of weeks.

Thing is shoud i as a seller worry about selling to certain countrys?

I have a buyer from Malaysia, he has not even asked for my refs or any such things.

Also he will pay upfront offcaurse and i will thake the money out of my account prior to shipping.

Is their anything that can go wrong here??After i lost my 063 i em scared shittless of sending any thing in the mail.

Insure if for full amount is also a demand from me no low value invoice maybe some other trick but no low value invoice.

That rings some bells for me that he don't ask to much about refs and such.

    Any advice ?

    Cheers

  12. I think the debate ends here !

The no.1 crack special forces team is.....

    A-Team_logo.jpg

Ten years ago / In 1972, a crack commando unit was sent to prison by a military court for a crime they didn't commit. These men promptly escaped from a maximum security stockade to the Los Angeles underground. Today, still wanted by the government, they survive as soldiers of fortune. If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can hire... The A-Team.

    Have coud i forget..

    I agree.. :1a:

  13. Congrats Dani! Love the contrast, that ROO is an awesome watch.
