  1. Just to clarify...

The Date wheel falls more or less in the same position... but look at the stem height ("Data">"T") and the size of the hands ("Hands") of these two movements (DG2813 and ETA2836)

As you can see there's a little difference in the stem height (2.3mm vs 2.25mm) but you cannot install the same hands ( 1.52 x 1.00 x 0.17mm vs 1.50 x 0.90 x 0.25mm)... hence you should change them... good luck finding a Chopard rep hands that will fit an ETA movement! (Don't know the size of the gen hands...)

That's why a swap (often) can be made only with the same movement... or a similar one...(The DG2813 and Miyota 8215 have indeed the same size/stem/hands)

If it was a Rolex rep that would be easier since on the market there are a lot of hands for various movement...

  2. What a POS... gen UN for that little money?!

Where are the clues that G has sold that as gen?!

The buyer was aware that he wasn't buying a gen...

    G. please report that the tracking (any of the two) is NOT giving error... I tried to check both yesterday on Poste Italiane and both were fine...

Lastly, you might consider buying a gen, the 1600 hasn't been made by Rolex in 38 years, so you might pick one up for $1500-2000usd. Good luck.

That's true what is commonly said... EU prices are higher than in US... a 1601 here (Italy) from a AD is about 2700-2800 €...

The way I'm trying to follow is the same that dpap has pointed out... Gen case... then a good dial (Gen?) a 2824 and so on...

  4. Where are you located Brad? I live in Italy and had the same problem (I was paying with a debit card)... I think it's a Card and/or Bank issue... (many won't allow transaction with Chinese sellers)... Tried twice with PureTime with no avail (they have Card1 and Card2 option... if the first fail you should try the second... none worked for me)

Western Union is way easier... and you cannot go wrong with Ryan/InTime... he deserves your confidence.

  5. We have seen a lot of newbies filing a PayPal dispute to a TD simply for a minor issue in the rep that they bought... A PayPal dispute could lead to freezing their (TD) account... if a newbie freezes a TD account then hundreds of customers cannot buy their reps from that TD using PayPal.

I'm not saying that one must pass over any flaw of the watch... just contact the seller asking for help (repairing/replacing or refund)... Then, if you get no avail, contact the Mods to chime in...

People should think twice before filing a PayPal dispute.

That's why the newbies should pay by WU/WireTransfer/BitCoin etc.

(As you guess, English is not my first language... I'm only trying to help...)
