Thank for the advice so far, and I'm glad you guys suggested a 5513 because that's what I was thinking. How close to gen is an mbw case because I have a stock mbw watch in in the works which already has a gen crystal. It's a member here.. is that a good start.. as far as the movement it doesn't matter if its Asian or swiss ETA because iv read that they are pretty much the same and everything interchanges Does $450 for a non running mbw watch head only with gen crystal sound like an alright deal? This will be my first build so I'm not gonna go to crazy

Ok so I been going about everything backwards like taking stupid chances on reps hoping something about them would be good and something I could work off of.. so I'm going to do this a bit differently. First I'd like to build a sub based off an ETA????. not sure what ref I wanna do yet, all depends on what I can find for a case I can afford which everything will most likely be second hand since I don't have a very big budget. So with all that said. My first question would be, what's the best case to build something from that will accept an eta and for what ref? Second question is who's got the best dial. Last question to start this post off is, since my budget is so limited to less then $1000, is there anyone that has any parts they wouldn't mind donating to help the cause?

I was wondering who I talk to about about doing custom printing on a dial? Always wanted to create my own dial I'd consider trying it myself if I could get my hands on stencils

So I found this watch and have a chance of getting it for $40. Its an auto but don't know what movement. Do you guys this would be a good jumping off point for either a gmt or sub build? thanks.. yeah i really dont wonna get rid of it but automatico is right, parts are pretty heard to find, but not only that but if things arent like a direct fit and need modification.. i dont have the right tools to do the sort of stuff.. honestly tho, ill probly end up hanging onto it

well i did buy it for a good deal, i wont lie but selling it werent my intentions however anything i buy in life i look at as an investment and seeing i cant afford a whole lot, im forced to try an make a little profit on anything i sell, to save for what i really want.. im sorry i seem like a flipper.

ill ignore that response since the ref 6205 sub had a cal 645 which is a 600 series dont mean to be rude but just dont appreciate people chiming in thinking they know everything and giving missinformed answers

i got an old rolex 630 chronometer movement id like to build a sub with.. is it possible? what case would i need.. these are probably stupid questions but oh well.. thnks for any answers

im thinking about purchasing an arf sub with the sh3135. was wondering how the rehaults come out though. i saw a noob v7 that had a near perfect rehault.
