So I decided to ultimately go with the mbw 5513 as my base the case looks more gen, the lugs are drilled and look better then the cartel, has a gen t19 already.. gonna open it up when I get it and figure out why it's not running.. I'll post an update after I receive it. Thanks holo. I like the last one.

Vintage case reshaping in the UK or Europe

Who does 1680 reshapes -
Don't think it would be to hard to straighten out and switch out the end links.. Need to add a link or 2 to it

Wow that's horrible.. I think I'm either gonna go with a NATO strap or a nice leather band
-
That's good advice.. honestly I can't gripe to much because other then the lug holes, this is a pretty nice case... I still think the band sucks but its usable
-
I'd love to get a yuki or sh3135, just haven't had the funds
-
Guess I'm building a 1680
-
Did a 1680 come with no date?
-
The only thing I like so far is that the case and inside the case back is both marked 1680 (even tho it was supposed to be a 5513) however I like this better cause it'll match the beat rate of a 2842

Well the watch arrived today and I'm pretty disappointed in it, the bracelet is total junk.. feels like tin foil.. I don't know, I don't see where this watch was worth anywhere near what I paid for it
-
So I have a swiss ETA 2834 17j day date movement kicking around.. could I swap the 2836 out for this? There is one spec that's different though, i think it's the outer diameter And I feel like I'm gonna end up selling the watch I just bought, minus the bracelet... cause I really want a Vietnam case..

Yukiwatch has them in stock for 195, just have to change the rotor because of a defect in manufacturing http://m.yukiwatch.com/catalog/item/9075986/10368174.htm And I have a gen top plate that has all the engravings and gen rotor if your interested. Only thing i don't have is the bridge that has 3135 on it I heard it's better to get one that's not engraved because they don't disassemble the movement before hand, and it could damage the movement

So my new 5513 is coming in tomorrow what was super quick.. already have a ft first dial with watching hands on order. Quick questing for the experts.. do the lugs on this watch look to high, are they supposed to be centered more or no?
-
Thanks rick.. yeah I would have liked to find one of those cases but had no clue where to start. Where'd you get yours
-
Awesome info.. so I'm gonna do a swiss 2846 in the watch I just bought.. if got pics of the original watch I wanna clone
-
I'm wrong, it's the correct stamp
-
Well I just bought the vintage no date 5513 from trusty like you suggested denimhead. Hopefully my payment and everything went ok.. can't wait to get it However I think I'm gonna need to find a 93150 bracelet course I think the one that comes with it might be different
-
Wow thank you capice you guys are awesome
-
Is a vintage 5513 low beat? When did Rolex go high beat and what watches or should I ask after what year?
-
Yeah I'm gonna do that, so that way I can wear it while I modify it
-
Oh sorry I didn't see that link, and its funny cause I was just looking at that
-
Thanks denim. And I don't think they have been drilled.. before I pull any triggers I'll check out a cartel case and prices. They accept gen crown and tube right... I was told the mbw case was from the last stock in 2015 Can someone link me up to the cartel sight?
