The thread is a bit thicker than the HKTAN straps you have (It is though same as MP and Strapmasters)..
The white is probably very contrasting.. I think it would have been perfect with off-white/tan thread
Well at least it makes the stitching stand out and i guess as panera said it is quite good.. because a medium stitched strap in high contrast looks awful
Thanks guys..
@ delta: THis is not made by Aaron but by me
It took me some time to do it.. but I think I chose the most difficult stitching so I can forgive 1-2 small mistakes I can see myself.
@ panera: I know the white is a bit harsh... You are right.. But I don;t have any other thread at the moment except white and black
Next week I will receive an OEM crown (for handwound marina) from a friend and we will be able to compare them.
From the photos he has sent me though it doesn't look very similar...
Here is a comparison photo of the face of genuine (sold at ADs.. not catalogue photos) and a rep..
I still cannot believe there is no difference.. You HAVE to find it
Btw.. the ring may show different but the watches are on different angle.. SO on the top the one looks thicker and the other on the bottom.. Don;t know if i make sence but it can be misleading..
And I have previously replied....
'They say they have AR in the catalogue.. But I wore 4 different models in an AD and I haven't seen any sign of AR... IF they have it is soooooooooo light i couldn't see it.
Plus in most of the photos on PAneristi I think I haven't seen any AR coating as well...'
It will be the end of the world when i will trust a Panerai catalogue for references
Well let me be the guinea pig and receive it first to tell you my opinions...
But anyway. it was not expesive .. basically Kings price is CHEAP for a new model in the market so accurate.. No Big Bang prices
I don't think you will get many people interested in this.. I am a big lefty fan but for models that they exist.
We try to convince dealers to make 1:1 and extremely accurate watches... Wish you good luck but your project is doomed before even starting.
Unfortunately you can't.. Panerai the last years has moved their strap production in Italy..
So in order to get this old one (Made in Austria) you should lurk over Paneristi and wait for the chance... of a good condition used one.
Well the first one black croc.. I have heard that the earlier series crocs that were made by Hirsch in Austria were better quality than the newer ones made in Italy and that was true..
I got a brand new croc for deployment free with my 112 purchase and i was not so thrilled.. I sold it and waited for the right chance to find an older version in good condition..
It is a very nice strap and definately the best croc/gator strap in the market. Recommended if you look for something like this.
The second one is a new MX tan with logo buckle. The owner took off the logo buckle and put another one and the strap was brand new and a bargain. I got it and i am not dissapointed.. The colour and the Smell is very very nice.. The smell reminds me of my old MF WW2 strap. I will put a nice logo buckle when i will get tired of the one it has now
It is a bit thin for my tastes but I like it.. Colour is not so orange-ish like the photos..
Now I will let the photos speak...
They say they have in the catalogue.. But I wore 4 different models in an AD and I haven't seen any sign of AR... IF they have it is soooooooooo light i couldn't see it.
Plus in most of the photos on PAneristi I think I haven't seen any AR coating as well...
Please correct me if i am wrong.
W, the chrono is a beauty... I will definately go for this one
I don;t see any major flaws.. I thought that the L SWISS MADE L was wrong because the catalogue had the watch with only SWISS MADE (without L's) but a photo of a watch produced is with the Ls.
So I guess this is one more 1:1 (bought the genuine and CNC) watch..
