Fold!
Millertime you already know it, go for the gen.
I waited 6 month to source one with a good price..

Hi, I have a good rep dial from an "old factory" SMP
If you're interested, check the thread: time to mod my "old factory" SMP.
-
I bought 5 watches from Andrew, he is still my favorite seller.
I don't care about DS and of course no QC, I never had a problem with him... And even with Josh.
They communicate and they arrange... That's what I keep in mind.
But this one is far from the V5, Just check... And begin (for exemple) by the caseback and continue after...
You'll understand.
Edit: You did it...
-
Lol. 13 here
-
lol...+1
+1

The jaxa didn't work too.
The caseback was extremely screwed like welded.
I decided to stop scratching my watch and shipped it back to Domenico last week.
Shame, I was so happy to perform modds by myself.

The best thing you can do is to choose your dealer and email him exactly what you wish.
.
-
What?!
Rolex have a DSSD? With a swiss movement?
-
-
??? I'll ask them..
-
... But what about these ones from Silix and PTswiss? Can anybody shed any light on either of these? Would be greatly appreciated.
Same watches, just choose your dealer.
-
Oh dear.... Is it that bad then?
No misunderstanding, I hope that you didn't took that as an offense mate!
Just an advice from an Omega fan to another ...
I was in the same search three years ago and finally came in the rep world with the SMP chrono.
That one is a keeper.
I destroyed it, while a was waiting to repair it, I bought the classic one.
Good rep but far away from the chrono, too much things to mod on the classic and even more on the red one you were looking at.
The red is full of flaws, I have the gen 2220.80 on my wrist, so I can tell you.
This is a community, we share bad and good experiences.
The PT's is a good choice
-
Well ive listened to all the advice and im still set on the smp blue from PT, however.....
I REALLY like this one from Perfect Clones..the facelift model with red seamaster lettering,
to me the face of this one takes the plain smp to another level.
I wonder if PT can get me this one (i want to use him as he ships from the U.K which is a big plus for me!!)
Well, that's your choice dude!
Last word: The Hands are too small, the crown guards are the worst I saw, the insert color is incorrect and the omega logo and lettering are incorrect too...
But some things must be experienced by yourself.
Wear it well.
-
Well, I'd really like to know that...
According to them, if the watch go successfuly through the QC, I'll have it in a couple of weeks.
But there is a desperate guy still waiting for an ET's watch for more than one month.
So...
-
Christ Andreww...now you`ve given me something else to think about!!! lol
Now im really un-decided...
Im sorta hooked on the plain smp...but i will checkout the chrono as it is a looker..
Well... I was about to tell you the same advice.
This one is definitely a keeper.
Almost everything is good on this one.
One of the "best out of the box" omega rep.
I own some of them.
I understand Kramerica, a bad pearl is a flaw that I can't stand.
But on the old SMP chrono the pearl is good. Ok, not centred as it does but good.
This one accept gen parts. So if one day You want to swap the insert for a gen one, No problem.
-
Have a look on the home page on his website.
Something like: Annoucement 3 august,
Finished DSSDv5-REVIEW for RWG forum, check preview.
They show pics of an "Upgraded V5"
Check it.
Not sure, but it seems that the insert and the lume are modified.
So, I asked him if I'll really have an upgraded V5 version, he said yes...
-
One ticket for me.
Paid.
-
Hi, IMHO if you want a blue SMP, you should go for the PT's SMP.
It's the current 2531.80 rep, nothing better for now.
You'll not find a better one with a correct Hev or better CGs.
The "asians" you're talking about aren't good at all.
Hope it helps

I bought one of the first V5s from Eurotimz. It arrived with less than great QC. However Chris sent me a new bracelet which is perfect and he is now sending me a new insert/pearl to replace the greenish pearl that was sent originally. However can someone tell me how to best remove and then replace the new insert. I know on the old MBW types it was fairly easy to pop off the bezel and remove and replace the insert. Is it as easy with the DSSD V5?
Mate, you're on the "Precious time supreme DSSD" thread not Eurotimez...
Try to open a new topic for an answer or use the search window.

After a long brainstorming with myself, I just pulled the trigger on the ETZ V5.2 upgraded.
And, as I became really crazy with this hobby, I ordered the 2836-2 modified "3135" from prowatch-polo.
My wallet don't want to talk to me anymore...
-
It seems that andrew is still listing the asian GMT at 108$
-
No, that's changing the timing, not the beat.
Beat-rate setting requires more than just making sure it keeps good time.
Oups..."Beat" was the word I missed
That's definitely another more difficult process.
Sorry I can't help you...
