I have owned replicas for a long time, I'm talking before Al Gore invented the Internet. Even in the old days when the reps were not that good I still got excited about them. As I got older, I purchased a gen Rolex Sea dweller. I really liked it but it just sat on my wrist it was exciting but I never thought well I need to change The bracelet or I want to Parkerized this which I really wanted to do, but the damn thing was so expensive I didn't dare.
Well we know how the economy has gone so I ended up selling my Sea dweller for some extra cash etc. etc. All of a sudden I found myself looking at replicas again and ended up with a GMTIIC and I'm back to purchasing genuine watch crystals, faces, etc. And then I realized my mindset was. okay I don't only need one watch, I need more and can afford more. I'm looking at sea dwellers again not real ones, The reps are more fun, and if someone with a gen came up to me and said well you probably will have that watch for two years and you have to buy another one, I will have the rest of my life. I would tell him I'm sorry He feels that way. But that's kind of how I felt. I was stuck with this thing for the rest of my life, What an awful feeling. I am only interested in things for about 2 to 3 years, other than my wife and child, and then I want something new. so I guess after that whole entire thing I just wrote I want to say It's great to come back and see people are still interested in reps and the different qualities of reps that are out there.
