  1. dam it, man thats a real mess, how this happend?? how he could steel your watches?

    all the best

    deniz

The guy is a total crook Deniz.. over a year ago he started an operation and made out he was an expert watchsmith and tried to collaborate with Chieftang and be a middle man in Chief's AR runs. Unfortunately it was discovered he was a fraud and it was too late for a lot of members who either sent him watches for repair (this was before Domi) or crystal removal for AR. A handful of members got their stuff back after some effort, but many didn't.

  2. Mr.Dedman AKA Rocketeer has now had 2 of my (expensive) watches for OVER A YEAR. After 9 months of no response, I got an email from him on April 12th saying that his wife AND daughter are now out of hospital, its been a very traumatising time for him etc. and that he will be in contact within 5 days. He also used this same excuse when he last contacted me in July last year.. For some reason I don't quite believe him and I'm sure many others don't either. I've sent him 9 emails since and I've had no response.

After doing some research, I managed to trace his home phone number. I called him up 5 minutes ago, and his wife picked up.. I asked to speak to Geoff, and she asked "who's calling?" I told her my name and I heard her whisper it to someone (presumably Mr.Dedman). Within 2 seconds she hung up. I tried calling him again immediately after this but no one picked up.

I can only assume that he's stolen my two watches and can't even own up and tell me over the phone..

I'm going to keep trying to get my stuff back, its not a cost I can swallow so easily. If anyone has stuff still owed by Dedman please state here and PM me if you want his HOME phone number (this is not the "business" number he gave everyone during the sign-up).

  3. Butch: You okay?

Marcellus: Nah, man. I'm pretty fu*kin' far from okay.

[Zed screams and moans in agony]

    Butch: What now?

Marcellus: What now? Let me tell you "what now". I'm gonna call a couple of hard, pipe-hitting niggas to go to work on the homes here with a pair of pliers and a blow torch. [to Zed] You hear me talkin', hillbilly boy?! I ain't through with you by a damn sight! I'm gonna get medieval on yo' ass!

  4. Hi, I suggest to get some calipers and measure the diameter and thickness of the crystal. Then look on watchmaterials house websites that sell crystals and choose the sapphire version that matches the measurements. If you can't find it online, pay a visit to a local watchmaker, they should be able to find a replacement for you. This is all I can suggest at the moment, I'm not sure if double AR makes much difference, hopefully other members can chime in here.

  5. The best way to remove the insert with minimal risk to damaging the insert or bezel, is to decase the watch, pop the crystal out and slide in a thin knife or blade and gently lift the bezel insert out. This is how I changed the insert on my UPO twice, I have tried doing it externally but I always end up damaging the insert.
