Guys started out as sales thread but we are off to research the movement question So I moved as watch sold. MOAB View Advert Hi there, I purchased this JF 1:1 Submariner 116610 LN from puretime a couple of weeks ago with the intention of using it's movement in a franken project. The JF SA3135V2 basically is a Yuki 3135 with engravings and much better availability. I came to the conclusion that sapphire crystals just don't do it for me anymore and therefore I won't take this watch apart for it's movement. Here's the link to PT: http://puretime03.com/submariner-116610-ln-black-ceramic-jf-1-1-best-edition-on-ss-bracelet-sa3135-v2s.html I paid 486 USD including shipping, which equals 455 Euros today. As with every Yuki3135 or JF 3135V2 I highly recommend to have this movement serviced immediately! Do not even think of wearing this watch without the movement having had a proper service. Though it keeps good time it winds like it was 50 years old and has never seen oil in it's long life. That's nothing a proper service from an experienced watchmaker could not get rid of. The watch even has all protective stickers in place. It is unworn and brand new. Letting this one go for 385 Euros including worldwide shipping with insurance. I am in the EU but will ship worldwide. Buyer takes customs risk / fees / responsibility. Within the EU there will be no customs involved, of course. Let me know if you have any questions. Hello to all again! I haven't spent a lot of time on these forums in years, as I've simply been satisfied with my old 116520 & V? DSSD. Anyway, I'm looking for help from some of the more knowledgeable current members--I'd like to update my DSSD and after doing a little homework have narrowed it down to either the V6s or the V7 (looking between these two): V6S: https://www.intime02.co/rollie/2650-sea-dweller-deepsea-116660-black-ceramic-v6s-1-1-noob-best-edition-sa3135.html V7: https://www.intime02.co/rollie/2950-sea-dweller-deepsea-116660-black-v7-1-1-noob-best-edition-a2836.html From the pics & description I see I'm kind of leaning towards the V6s. After doing a few different searches I still haven't found a proper comparison here between the two to say: is the V7 really better than the V6s and if so for what reasons? And is the SA3135 really any worse in reliability than the 2836 or is that just outdated information? Secondly, I have the old JF Daytona 116520 in white but am wondering if it's worth the upgrade to the new ARF w/ the (supposedly) 904L construction? I like the fact that unlike the JF the ARF 904L has a working stop-watch hand. My question is: is this new movement just another ticking timebomb like the old 7750 or is it as reliable for daily wear as the JF? And since the case is 1.5mm thicker is there a thinner caseback available or can I make it thinner by just using my old JF caseback and removing the rotor? Maybe I should just buy a 904L bracelet for my JF and call it a day. Good talking & thanks for your help.

So, I can remember joining the rep world and asking the same question everyone asks " What is the best Rolex Sub?" Well, It's been a while since those days and now I'm asking a similar question for a different watch and model, the AP 15400. The AP 15400 has me obsessed. I am considering this one: https://puretime03.com/royal-oak-41mm-15400-ss-jf-11-best-edition-black-dial-on-ss-bracelet-a3120.html# Is this the best 15400 rep yet? any recommendations? Any major flaws? I've read a bunch on here and seen the comparisons but not much since April 2016 on this topic. I see JF is the best, but is this a newer JF? I know that thickness has been an issue, and that kind of bothers me. It reads 10.5 but I'm being told its actually 10, which would be fantastic because the gen is 9.8. Let me know!
