i have to say i am dumbfounded that this thread hasn't gotten more than three responses in five days time

am i over-reacting about the potential implications of this news story and the fragile state of our economy? given we are currently issuing treasury bonds hand over fist to fund our budget deficits, news like this (the possibility of japan trying to unload $134 billion of US treasury bonds) scares the bejeezus out of me
