Here's a small project I just had done as a gift for my wife; I had the dial on an old Tudor Oysterdate redone in a pink background -pretty cute eh! She mentioned how she liked a pink custom dialed Rolex Datejust she saw in a catalog. She'd kick my butt if I bought here a gen Rolex so I thought about a budget option and this is what I came up with.

What do y'all think about replacing the hands? These are the originals, I was thinking a minty white fresh set might make more sense against the new dial.

Thanks for the kind words Ubi and all!

Well I gave it to her yesterday and asked her about the hands along with a crystal swap (it has a few battle scars I couldn't quite buff out), but it doesn't look like it'll be coming off her wrist anytime soon. So I guess that's her answer.

Interesting! Would have been nice to get a pink pearl finish on the dial but it looks great as is IMO.

I'd tend to leave the hands but as stated above the important thing is what does the missus think?

Thanks TJ and everyone for the nice feedback.

TMG, this watch looks great. Pure understated elegance with a sporty side too.

...a wet suit meets a little black dress.

I love the analogy B!

Glad she liked it tmg.

Came out really nice

Did CWP re-do the dial for you?

D, it was Superior Dials, they only do gen redials and sell aftermarket jeweled styles.
