AR coating - an IWC thing?

Hi IWC-people. One thing I don't get: in many seller's listing, IWC reps are often offered with double AR-coating and so on. I know and appreciate the concept of coating. But in other forums and in connection with other brands (i.e. Omega Speedmaster), such coating are seldom if ever discussed. Why? What's the difference?

I think this is because of the heavy AR that IWC uses on its gens. Without the double-AR, you can immediately tell it is a rep so the AR is important. I have a rep Ingenieur and it needs a better crystal with double-AR to solve this problem.

Chieftang is THE Top Dog to get AR from...unfortunately, attempts at coordinating efforts with AR in Europe using Chief's service have encountered problems (not Chief's from what I understand).

Breitling is also associated with heavy AR use, and I think PAMs only sometimes. Some do the aftermarket AR even where it's not accurate because it does make the dial "pop" out like nobody's business.
