They have it here:-

The quality is questionable tho.

Umm yeah quite questionable!!

At least they have a dial and rotating bezel already.

All that needs improving is:

Font on the inner bezel needs to be bolder

Date cyclops

Case finishing

Screws facing the right way around

Case back

ETA movt

I got positive news from KEN (Honpo): Audemars Piguet Royal Oak OffShore replica will be out soon. They are working on the developments from the original so the finish will be highest in the market. Hopefully, they should be able to release them next month...

I also got a response from Ken.

He even mentioned pre-orders, I just asked him about some details so we will see.

Maybe they are working on a chrono version? It would be even cooler!

Just look at this:

I actually strapped an AP ROO Black Themes bracelet on my wrist and I was very damn well hooked. I would love to get that one day. For now, I'll stick to reps. Hopefully Ken is bringing this one out. I know one of our dealer is in contact with the factory and from what I was told, the factory is working on an AP ROO Chrono 7750. When will it be out? I was told soon. No word from the factory as yet.

Sql-pl, any idea how much are we looking at??

The interest in this watch is obviously there (IMO that goes for all ROs), so if the rep is good enough perhaps we should think about a group buy.

Slightly OT, but has anyone asked Honpo about the status of the 1:1 RO Chrono yet? I would rather know for sure whether it's going to happen than to keep waiting for years in anticipation.

Nothing special

"This replica is one of the best AP Royal Oak Offshore pieces we ever launched.

Although the internal bezel cannot be controlled by the screw-in crown at 10 o'clock, and it cannot go down into deep water. It is still made by solid 440L stainless steel and Japanese 17 jewels automatic mechanical movement. Its dial reflects sophistication in black micro-squared design and bears the inscription 'Wempe' in understated fashion. Turn the watch around and the back shows an unique compus"

Is this a Daytona @6 type model where they will build an extra bridge for RO?

On the other RO with a Japanese 17J auto, where is that movement from and who makes it?

Miyota,Seiko or some random company?

Those look awfully iffy. Wempe ROO with an Eta looks like best option.

I'm in for a good quality one.

I would prefer the original one shown rather than a chrono, if the genuine is only with seconds at 12... i'd rather not have modified movements and take an ETA.

  • 2 weeks later...

Nobody.

Neil just bought one for himself, and doesn't know if he can get more.

Typical scottish yuppie behavior.
