O.K., GMT II Ceramic in natural light and light box. How's the color of the #'s?

Looking at the best photos (first few), and the second photo in particular at the 10 index, I'd say you're still a tiny bit too grey....

Maybe try 50:50, but it's getting there and looking VERY good.

As for cyclops, since it's off I'd leave it off. The gen has a strong AR effect that has so far foxed all who've tried to replicate it, so you're just drawing attention to another flaw. Plus many gen owners hate the look of cyclopses and have them removed anyway - not that uncommon and so could be your 'line'. It's also an OCD sufferer's nightmare trying to keep the crystal clean, what with all the dust and lint that gather around the cyclops border.

Thanks for the feedback.

I am not a cyclops fan either and I am definately OCD about the dirt and such that always seems to gather around that thing.

I tried the gen on just a while back and the bezel looks "brownish" in certain lighting. That was the first thing that catched my eye. I didn't even notice the cyclops AR thing.

Is it difficult to get out the cyclope from replica cystal?

Not really. Remove crystal, heat the backside of the crystal under the cyclops(I use my cigar torch), get a new flat/sharp chisel, hold crystal on edge, place chisel against cyclops and hit sharply with your hand.

Not hard but it does take some dexterity.

Buy a "neutral gray card" from a photo dealer (easy to find on-line--also called an "18% gray card"--and very cheap).

Take a shot with the gray card in the picture and look at the result. If it matches exactly the grey, then your color balance is good; if not, adjust your color balance (either in the taking mode or in post processing).

When you do that we can judge the color of your numerals, but not before.
