Drulee Posted August 15, 2009 Report Posted August 15, 2009 So I had a movement swapped from one case to another, but now it is running 2 minutes fast a day. Before it kept near perfect time, and nothing went wrong during the swap. Does it just need regulating, or is it a sign of impending doom It's an A7750 GMT movement. What do you think? And if it just needs adjusting, how can I go about doing this? Thanks
Jkay Posted August 15, 2009 Report Posted August 15, 2009 Your watch will run faster as the oils evaporate. Are you certain this has not been coming on for a while?
Francisco Posted August 15, 2009 Report Posted August 15, 2009 2 minutes per days can be normally compensated regulating the watch... just do it ans check if the new precision remains constant...
Drulee Posted August 15, 2009 Author Report Posted August 15, 2009 Your watch will run faster as the oils evaporate. Are you certain this has not been coming on for a while? Really? I would have thought that this would lead to it running slower, not faster, as there would be more friction. Anyway, it is a brand new movement, so I'd hope it has not been coming on for a while 2 minutes per days can be normally compensated regulating the watch... just do it ans check if the new precision remains constant... Will be doing that this evening, thanks
