iPhone photos

Recommended Posts

For the last six months, I've been taking a photo with my iPhone every day. I've been doing this for two reasons, partly because I want to demonstrate that the iPhone has a crappy camera and partly because I wanted the discipline of having to take at least one photo every day. However, with the right conditions and a little luck/effort, you can take some ok pictures with it.

Absolutely no post-processing at all has been done; these are all as they come, straight off the crappy lens of my iPhone 3G.

There are some apps now that let you zoom, and one that uses the accelerometer so it waits till you're still enough to take the shot. Not too bad, but yeah ... it takes lousy photos.

I took this one with the iPhone, it was blowing a gale and still it came out okay.

Some blackberry 8900 photos for comparison... I'd say the iphone photos are much better, but the comparison probably isn't very good since I think I'm fully zoomed in all three of these pics. I think the aperture gets really small at full zoom.. And all are hand held, not even resting on anything for stability.

Two outdoors:

One in very low light (dimly lit club):
