Jkay Posted August 27, 2009 Report Posted August 27, 2009 Can someone tell me how reliable the "crazy hours" jumping movement reps are? Will these things even last a month? I was thinking about Crazy Color Dreams Crazy Hours for my wife or daughter ....
Toadtorrent Posted August 27, 2009 Report Posted August 27, 2009 My wife's had problems after about 4 months...my sister's is about a year and moving fine. I put in a spare movement in my wife's and it's working fine EXCEPT, the rotor never wound the thing (same with all of them I've had it seems). I have another spare movement...haven't tried it yet.
trailboss Posted August 27, 2009 Report Posted August 27, 2009 Considering what they do it's actualy a reasonable simple complication. As above there have been a few probs but most seem to last oke. Everybody should have at least one of these in the collection if only to fire up and watch the thing jump. Col.
alt.watch.obsessive Posted August 28, 2009 Report Posted August 28, 2009 Find a real dial first. That's the fun of FM reps. Just make sure it's the small size. Then wear sparingly. Mine is still waiting for a trip to Vegas.

Mine is still waiting for a trip to Vegas. I've never had problems with either of mine, bought in late 2004. BTW, the one you pictured (the only model made in steel by FM) is one of the most accurate reps ever made.
