KB
Hey guys, what's up with the red cloud? Not in my neck of the woods, it's only in Sydney... Of course well all know what happens next....
bluerex
Unbelievable scenes here in Sydney yesterday. EVERYTHING in orange hue. Felt really eerie and the silence was deafening. I have never seen anything like it in my life and before getting out of the house checked the net to make sure it wasn't some sort of nuclear disaster Had to be here to believe it. Things started clearing up around 10am and by midday the visibility was ok. Later on the news it was stated that dust particles that made up the dust storm have been blown from 2400km away and created an orange blanket 3km high. The figure that amazed me the most was that 75,000 tonnes of dust were settling over Sydney every hour Here are some pics: photos

trailboss
Not only Sydney KB. It goes all the way up to Brisbane! That's over 1000km folks, some dust storm. Col.
