rosnik
Hi friends! I got a problem with a crown received like present by my watch smith. It's a 7mm crown for sub, without o-ring in. The strange thing is that the standard 24-7030 tube passed on it without engaging the filet. This crown appear to need one bigger tube. Is it possible on GEN? I share pictures for you. freddy333
It looks like you have the older 702 version of the Triplock, which requires a different (somewhat rarer) 24-7020 tube (Newer/current 703 at left, older 702 at right)
Justasgood
That is the older 702 version of the Triplock, which requires a different (somewhat rarer) 24-7020 tube. Actually, the 702 crown has the threads starting at the opening to engage the tube threads closer to the bottom of the tube. That is a correct configuration for the 703 crown. Perhaps the threading is stripped.

freddy333
The only things I can think of that would cause the crown to fit over the tube without the threads interlocking is either the threads have been completely worn down to smooth metal (which would be obvious), you have the wrong tube (maybe a Twinlock or other smaller diameter tube) or your tube is aftermarket (wrong size). Can you see the teeth around the inside circumference of the crown end of the tube (where the Rolex tube tool fits) Some pics of your tube (the 1 in your watch ) would help. RWG Technical
Either the crown or the is not gen or one is damaged. The crown looks gen and the threads look fine, so I would say you have either a 6mm tube or a rep one...
rosnik
and......if it's a 24-700-0 crown for 6263?
freddy333
This is a 24-700 Triplock The crown in the pic you posted above is definitely not a 700.

rosnik
Thank you to your help my RWG friends, now the mystery is solved. Thank you for support. It's 703 crown with a hard and one bit ruined filet on it. It's one bit hard to screw on the tube, but it fit. THE TUBE: the CROWN: Now, some guy know how to re-filet that inner crown? Tribal
Not worth and hard to do..... Buy a new crown thats the best option....
freddy333
Ditto Tribal. I have never seen an aftermarket/rep tube that has the correct splines for the Rolex tube tool, so it has got to be the crown.
