brsmith1
Is the yacht master legit? Don't have a keen eye for these watches, but would love to snag one as a present for someone. Anyone here mind giving a minute to do a quick spot check. Appreciate it everyone! alligoat
The pics are fine, but the prices are too good! I tried to google United-Watches.net and couldn't find them, there is a unitedwatches.net w/o the hyphen in NY selling other types of watches. You can't tell from their website where they're located, no phone number, prices below wholesale. I like the solid gold YM for $6200, but $8-9K would be about as low as I would expect for a legitmate seller. All the markings of a SCAM-SITE. Toadtorrent
$5,5000 - $7,500 is about market rate for a pre-owned YM...depending on availability of papers, dealer, and boxes. I'm unfamiliar with the site though...don't know if I would go Scam-site claims without further research.
alligoat
Sorry Toad, Here's what they're saying on one of the forums: http://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?p=1438717 it's just a rebirth of a previous scam site- these guys move pretty quickly. it sure would be cool if the FBI could catch upo w/ these guys! There we go...further research is indicating stay away. The prices seem to be on mark to used watch prices on El Bay though. Sucks. I would say look for the more reputable dealers on El Bay or Nanuq, Stephane, Freddy, etc use or can recommend. They've mentioned a few in various posts. Thanks Mr. Goat!! I didn't look into the company too hard...so didn't know what to say.
brsmith1
Guys: Totally appreciate it. If anyone wants to suggest some reputable dealers, please do so. Looking for a used yachtmaster for a friend. All the best!
jnkay
That site is using pictures stolen from Top Notch Watches, a well-respected internet dealer who, for some reason, does not watermark his photos.
