FxrAndy Posted November 6, 2009 Report Posted November 6, 2009 Still off work due to a knackered left knee (meniscus)Bad part! Receiving an A7750 from concepeta to replace one with winding problems in my 3717, Swapping the movement out with out problems so now i had an auto wind 3717 again. Looking at the two movements and seeing the problem, Then thinking i have my old black bird movement that Michael Allen messed up, Hmmmm maybe i can get the Ratchet driving wheel out of that and fix this one. Yep that works so after reassembly i have a spare 7750! Hmmm what about that black bird movement, surly i can fix that as well, in a hand wind mode any way, so armed with the tech drawings for a 7750 that was reassembled to a working hand wind, big date chrono with one problem, it had no seconds hand??? Look through the draw and find the seconds hand from my first ever rep, a navitimer, cheepo day date thing and the the seconds hand although a bit to short and the tube being a bit loose (crimped that) and having a red end it looks ok. So at the end of the day i have My 3717 fully fit A spare 7750 day date (may be ordering some eta date wheels for this now) And my 1st blackbird working again in a limited fashion, (Due to the marks and scratches on the dial and hands left by Bad watchmaker this will now be known as crapbird!) L-R 3717, Blackbird and Crapbird Definitely keeping up with the motto of learn something new every day, 7750 are no longer as much of a mistery!
