OxiClean (OxyClean?) is used to give Titanium a darker finish, supposedly making it look more like the metal Tantalum (a.k.a. Tantalium). The process has been done a few times by various members, just do a search for both spellings of the "Oxy" product, and you will find the threads in question.

Apart from Oxiclean, how about Clorox since the main ingredient is also sodium percarbonate & sodium carbonate as mentioned on the packing. Any one tried?

Why I ask is that Oxiclean is at nowhere available in where I live.

Yes, I guess so.

Recall ajoesmith mentioned sometime ago using napisan,

Since oxiclean is not sold in my country, but Napisan is available - advertised for soaking baby clothes.

So,

napisan = oxiclean?
