Drulee
OxiClean (OxyClean?) is used to give Titanium a darker finish, supposedly making it look more like the metal Tantalum (a.k.a. Tantalium). The process has been done a few times by various members, just do a search for both spellings of the "Oxy" product, and you will find the threads in question. bertieng
Interesting. Will Oxyclean attacks polished surfaces and the AR on sapphire?
frankt
Works fine...Just make sure you remove the Tachy ring or you'll end up with a 191.5...like this!! This was done by the guy I bought it from!!
bertieng
Apart from Oxiclean, how about Clorox since the main ingredient is also sodium percarbonate & sodium carbonate as mentioned on the packing. Any one tried? Why I ask is that Oxiclean is at nowhere available in where I live.

bertieng
Yes, I guess so. Recall ajoesmith mentioned sometime ago using napisan, Since oxiclean is not sold in my country, but Napisan is available - advertised for soaking baby clothes. So, napisan = oxiclean?
