I think I've done a little [censored]

hi members,

I think I've done a mistake.

For reduce the spinning noise of the rotor, I gave it a little watch grease.(A 7750)

I removed it and put a little bit grease on the rear side of the bearing.

I've tighten the screw handwarm.

If I try to wind the watch with the crown it's very hard and the rotor spins.

Automatic winding with the rotor seems to be normal.

What have I done wrong with it ?

Can anybody help me ?

Thanks

Friedhelm

You shouldn't really hand wind an automatic movement. I think what has happened is coincidental to your greasing the rotor. What has happened is that the winding gears ha worn out from hand winding. This causes the rotor to spin when winding. You can either use it without hand winding, or service it and have the winding gears replaced.

Although I'm not an expert but since I just got a watch back from repair that was doing the same thing Ill try to explain. There's apparently two anti-reversing gears or clutch system that are often sticky or dirty. They're not necessarily broken or it's not necessarily from hand winding. Also it's relatively common problem with A7550 movements according to my watchsmith. It was an inexpensive fix for me. Hopefully that's your problem also.

There's a tutorial about this problem, I think in Francisco's section.

The part in question is called the reversing wheel and id two gears on top of on another in one direction they stay together and in the other they slip, the parts are not interchangeable with the swiss ones with out a lot of work and Francisco has done a tutorial on changing them and modding the swiss one into Asian
