Don't know why the Comex dial for the 16600 has never taken off.

I understood there were two editions apart from the subeditions of each The originals were just tritium applied first in matt then in small logo. But the later edition in the 90's I think had the chrome surrounds. I am sure Tech would know the fuller details and correct me

alligoat Posted December 21, 2009 Report Posted December 21, 2009 Early dials for the Comex SD were matte- like the 1665 and 16660 (early 80's)dials. Dials from the late 80's and early 90's had the white gold surrounds around the hour markers.
